Description

The Industrial Praactice Leader will be responsible for overseeing project delivery, developing, and managing talent within the team, instituting and maintaining a design quality control process, ensuring project financial performance, and provide business development support through net new bookings. The successful candidate will have strong technical knowledge, exceptional leadership skills, and a track record of managing large-scale engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership:
  • Create Mission & Vision for Industrial Practice
  • Develop & Lead Strategy for Industrial Practice
  • Develop & Lead Implementation Plan
  • Develop Waggoner and Cross-Trilon Team
  • Lead Development of Industrial Practice Processes & Satndards
  • Lead Market Strategy and Client Assignment Delivery


Team Development:
Mentor, develop, and manage a team of engineers. Foster a collaborative team culture and drive continuous improvement in technical skills and project management capabilities.

Technical Oversight:
Provide technical leadership and quality control to ensure high standards in project execution, adhering to industry regulations and best practices.

Client and Stakeholder Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing technical guidance, ensuring client satisfaction, and identifying opportunities for additional services.

Net New Bookings:
Set and achieve a net new bookings goal (to be determined with leadership), actively pursuing business development opportunities, and contributing to the firm's growth through relationship building and proposal development.

Financial Management:
Monitor project budgets, schedules, and financials to ensure Direct Labor Margin goals are met.

What you'll need

Required Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering

Experience

10+ years of related design experience, and knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations required. One to two years coordination/supervisory experience preferred.

Certifications/Registrations

License as a Professional Engineer (PE) required. Certifications applicable to civil engineering, water and/or wastewater plant operations desired.

Other Knowledge and Skills

  • Proficient in design using AutoCAD Civil 3D, Micro Station, ESRI products.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project required.
  • Knowledge of design, on-line reports and databases preferred. Understanding of and experience in the application of sustainability principles in public infrastructure.
  • Knowledge and ability to use (or learn) Deltek Financial and Project Management system is required.
  • Superior communication skills and in-depth knowledge of company products and operations.
