REPORTING & RELATIONSHIPS:
This position reports to the Sales and Marketing Director Industry in Canada. Key collaborators will include the regional product managers, account managers, business development specialists within Canada, and the USA and global marketing teams. This position is attached to the Montreal office.
Summary:
The purpose of this job is to drive our brand awareness, customer engagement, and business growth as well as well as to position our solution on the market. This position is responsible for helping forecast our future business. This is a critical commercial role and one that requires a deep fundamental understanding of how to develop our strategy in the Pharmaceutical and Food markets in Canada. This position is expected to help drive the Unit's revenue and Profit targets while adhering to the GO*28 principles.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required. Expertise in the Pharmaceutical or Food market strongly preferred. MBA or other postgraduate work in related field strongly considered At least 5+ year experience of sales and/or marketing Strong Customer and professional network is essential Marketing experience is highly regarded Good communicator with interpersonal, organizational, teamwork, and collaboration skills Strong leadership and influencing capabilities with a customer centric mindset Relevant commercial and B2B experience, ideally in life sciences or healthcare industry Bilingual with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French. Ability to multitask and work within deadlines, professionally managing competing priorities Ability to travel, domestically and internationally as needed and to meet field activity objectives as central measurement KPI. Travel will be approximately 15% of the time Willingness and ability to comply with bioMrieux Corporate Business Ethics & Compliance policies Experience working in a matrix organization in multinational companies Profound understanding of how to work with variable datasets to extract meaningful information to aid in decision-making Excellent integrator and negotiator, results oriented Excellent presentation skills to all levels of decision makers Experience of P&L management

Responsibilities:
1. Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Global Marketing, Customer Service, R&D, and executive leadership to align marketing efforts.
- Collaborate with external agencies, designers, and media partners.
2. Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with business goals.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, and competitive positioning.
- Set short- and long-term marketing objectives and KPIs.
3. Product Marketing
- Define the long-term vision for the industry solutions in North America
- Work with product manager to define positioning, messaging, and pricing.
- Ensure a smooth rollout and adoption.
4. Brand Management
- Oversee brand positioning, messaging, and visual identity across all channels that touch the Pharmaceutical and Food market.
- Ensure brand consistency across all marketing materials and communications.
- Manage rebranding initiatives if needed.
5. Digital & Traditional Marketing
- Oversee digital marketing strategies, including SEO, social media, content marketing, and email campaigns.
- Monitor and optimize multi-channel marketing efforts.
6. Customer & Market Insights
- Analyze customer data and market trends to refine strategies.
- Design surveys, focus groups, and competitive analysis.
- Use insights to enhance customer engagement and improve ROI.
7. Budgeting & ROI Measurement
- Develop and manage the marketing budget in collaboration with Sales & Marketing Director.
- Track and analyze campaign performance to optimize spending.
- Report on marketing ROI and make data-driven decisions.
8. Public Relations & Communication
- Handle media relations and press releases.
- Develop crisis communication plans if needed.
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences as needed
- Develop scientific collaborations with KOL (white papers, posters, research project, etc.)
- Build strong relationships with Key Opinions Leaders, various governmental representatives, policy influencers, etc.
