L3Harris is searching for talented experienced Information Security Systems Engineering leader to join the L3Harris Network Security Engineering Team supporting the Enterprise Network Modernization Program (ENMP) comprised of Information Security Systems Engineers (ISSEs). This role may require travel to Australia to support program/business needs. This role may require weekend and after hours work as well as assigned On-Call rotations to meet program requirements.
Essential Functions:
-Access Policy Manager (APM)
-Web Application Firewall (WAF)
-BIG-IP DNS
-Local Traffic Manager (LTM)
-Intrusion Prevention/Detection Systems (IPS/IDS)
-Next generation firewall experience
-Palo Alto experience (preferred)
-Configuring and maintaining Virtual Private Networks (VPN)
- US Citizen (Must be able to obtain an Australian work visa and obtain and maintain suitability by the Australian Government)
- 9/80 Reg; Must be willing to work in Australia hours/schedule when supporting from U.S.
- This role may require weekend and after hours work as well as assigned On-Call rotations to meet program requirements.
- Must be able to acquire a Public Trust
- Ability to obtain and maintain suitability by the Australian Government
- Must be willing to travel to Australia to support program needs (after conversion to L3Harris FTE)
- 5 to 7 years of experience in the network security engineering field performing the specification, selection, evaluation, testing, deployment and operation of security devices including but not limited to Firewalls, Routers, Switches, IDS, WAF, VPN technologies, etc.
- Intrusion Prevention/Detection Systems (IPS/IDS)
- Next generation firewall experience Palo Alto experience (preferred)
- Configuring and maintaining Virtual Private Networks (VPN)
- Managing and/or conducting network scanning and analysis of vulnerabilities and mitigation plans
- Experience with SIEM applications Splunk experience a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter that can supervise the technical work of junior and mid-grade security engineers to perform systems engineering design, testing and implementation of network security infrastructure and services.
- Experience in application and compliance of customer tailored Australian Signals Directorate, NIST, and custom controls and policies
- Experience developing, configuring and maintaining configuration baselines within an enterprise system
- Experience collecting system logs and event data and performing engineering analysis to determine system security function, performance and compliance
- Prior Airservices Australia telecommunications and network security experience is a plus
- Experience supporting Air navigation services is a plus

- Act as primary engineering support to build-out and deploy network security products and services to achieve program and customer milestones.
- Act as primary engineering support to network operations for the testing and evaluation of new Security products and services.
- Provide guidance and insight into functional leadership within the team of engineers which includes assisting with staffing needs, helping with performance, career development, and mentoring activities, and acting as liaison between program management, customer and engineering leadership.
- Self-starter that can supervise the technical work of junior and mid-grade security engineers to perform systems engineering design, testing and implementation of network security infrastructure and services.
- Perform lifecycle testing and operational support on security architectures to maintain compliance with customer-tailored security controls.
- Perform enterprise security access control, baseline configuration management and system performance testing to ensure requirements compliance.
- Manage and maintain enterprise configuration and provide internal and external (customer) tier 2/3 technical support for the following major systems:

- Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, IT Security or related field, and minimum 6 years related experience; or a master's degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, IT Security or related field, and minimum 4 years related experience
- 5 to 7 years of experience in the network security engineering field performing the specification, selection, evaluation, testing, deployment and operation of security devices including but not limited to Firewalls, Routers, Switches, IDS, WAF, VPN technologies, etc.
