The role youll contribute:
The Research Informatics Solutions Lead works as an integral member of the Research Data Services Core guiding the responsible deployment and use of Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems for Research. Provides accurate and timely support for software as it pertains to specified data management systems that support the science and operations of the AdventHealth Research Institute (AHRI). The Lead focuses on and executes the technical and operational objectives of specific projects and identifies opportunities for improvements to various research data management platforms. Coordinates the implementation of AHRIs software applications and related hardware. Through cooperation with AdventHealth IT (AIT) Research Information Systems (ResIS), supports and manages the on-going maintenance of these systems.
The Lead Interacts and communicates with AHRI faculty, scientists, and staff to provide training, information and service in a troubleshooting and problem-solving capacity. Provides direction and guidance to the AHRI, including its Research Information Systems teams and Information Systems Coordinator (ISC).
The Lead develops and maintains standard operating procedures and user training materials related to Electronic Data Capture (EDC) and data management. Provides technical support and training to end users. Works collaboratively with research scientists and study teams for the development and maintenance of electronic source and case report forms. Oversees the activities of data-entry personnel. Works with research scientists to develop study-specific Data Management Plans and accompanying budget estimates. Participates in internal and/or external training programs to stay current on industry trends and skills applicable to assigned duties.

Utilizes research protocols with faculty, scientists, and staff assistance to customize the AHRI software applications and define data input and output as indicated by application specifications, (i.e., identifies applicable technology solutions including but not limited to EDC and data transfer applications).
Use of EDC and other data management software in accordance with organizational policies and procedures
Assists AHRI faculty, scientists, and staff with database queries and report generation.
Development and use of data sharing and transfer applications for both internal and external investigators.
Maintains understanding and proficiency with all AHRI data management software applications and serves as the technical liaison between AIT ResIS Application Analysts, and AHRI Core managers and subject matter experts (SME); provides training and support to AHRI faculty, scientists, and staff. Troubleshoots problems in an effective and timely manner, escalating issues to AIT, when necessary.
Identifies and resolves issues with AHRI data management software applications. Seeks information and resources to understand ways that software applications will better serve AHRI and ultimately the AdventHealth Enterprise.
Develops SOPs related to the use of AHRI data management software applications, including but not limited EDC and data transfer applications. Ensures data integrity by overseeing the activities of AHRI data entry personnel.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences youll need to succeed:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Masters degree in Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, Management Information Systems or other field OR equivalent or greater experience
Expertise in Electronic Case Report Form development
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
Experience in programming and data processing problem analysis with an emphasis in research or healthcare applications
Experience with Research Informatics with respect to the collection, storage, retrieval, and export methods ultimately used for the integration of biological and clinical data
