The Opportunity

Concert is continuing to grow, and we are looking for an Information Security Analyst, Information Security, Information Systems and Technology to join our team.

The successful candidate will work with the Information Security team to help monitor and operate cyber security tools, technologies and processes. In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with cyber incident response, promoting security awareness, and enhancing security operations and response processes.

The Information Security Analyst, Information Security, Information Systems and Technology reports to the Senior Information Security Manager and will be based in Downtown Vancouver.

Responsibilities

  • Work with a Security Operations Center (SOC) to investigate Information Security incidents as reported to the organization or identified with Concert security tools and technologies.
  • Perform root-cause analysis on Information Security incidents and update procedures for continuous improvement.
  • Assist with identifying and remediating vulnerabilities and weaknesses in IT/business networks, systems, databases, and applications.
  • Help monitor, implement, and calibrate cyber security tools, technologies, and processes to ensure the timely detection, response and resolution of security incidents.
  • Assist with developing and maturating the risk management program, including risk management processes to identify, control, and report on risks, managing third party risk, and conducting security risk assessments on new business and IT initiatives to identify and advise senior leadership on risks and recommended actions.
  • Maintain knowledge of best practices and stay informed on trends and issues in the field of Information Security, including current and emerging technologies.
  • Observe, and where applicable, participate in the development of the Cyber Security program activities.
  • Assist with the development and review of information security policies, standards, procedures, playbooks, and other related documentation.


Experience and Characteristics
  • 2+ years of Cybersecurity experience in security operations and governance.
  • Experience with security technologies, especially Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Network Detection and Response (NDR), Intrusion Detection and Prevention (IDS/IPS), Web Proxy, Secure Email Proxy, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM).
  • CompTIA Security +, Blue Team Level 2 or equivalent security certification.
  • Good working knowledge of NIST or ISO and MITR security frameworks
  • Good understanding of ITIL frameworks and ITSM methodologies
  • Good understanding of cloud-based architecture and SaaS based solutions.
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands from business units, projects, and operations.
  • University degree or college diploma in Computer Science or a related field and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to work flexibly with others in a confident and collaborative manner.
  • Independent thinker and self-starter, able to easily navigate a variety of stakeholders with diplomacy, thoughtfulness, and creativity.
  • Knowledge and experience in the property management industry is an asset.
