Position Description:

This position is responsible for information technology security services and functions and will act as an internal business partner to one or multiple areas of Ameritas as their primary point of contact for the same. Build relationships and communicate regularly with business unit partners to provide guidance and direction to ensure the safety of information systems assets and protection of systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction.

This role will rely heavily on building internal relationships. Communication skills, relationship building, organizational knowledge, emotional intelligence, and an ability get along well with others will all be key to success.

Position Location:

This is a hybrid role working partially in-office (Lincoln, NE or Cincinnati, OH) and partially from home.

What you do:
  • Provides coaching and guidance to assigned partners within the organization with respect to security best practices.
  • Responds to incidents and provides solutions.
  • Executes project work enterprise in scope of job function.
  • Researches and develops security products and initiatives.
  • Acts as a technical liaison to support the Infrastructure and I.T. area.
  • Develops and executes security strategies.
  • Defines security requirements, standards, and policies for the enterprise.
  • Leads and contributes to security projects to improve enterprise security architecture and posture.

What you bring:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • 4-7 years of related information technology or information security experience required.
  • Security+, ISC Certified in Cyber, or equivalent types of certifications required.
  • CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) desired.
