Pay range:
$90,563.00 - $171,142.00
The IS Security Engineer protects the IT software and systems from potential intrusions and other technological security breaches. Actively monitors changes to the threat and vulnerability landscape both inside and outside of the Overlake environment. Monitors and adheres to security systems and policies to protect data communication networks including hardware, software and computing services to keep Overlake departments, related properties and associated physicians in compliance with regulations and audit compliance.
Communicates key aspects of situational awareness as instructed by Senior Security staff, amongst the IS division to ensure security posture remains intact through project implementations, merger and acquisition activity, and technology advancements/changes.
Provides expertise and support for the tactical planning, and execution of the security plan. Administers and supports a portfolio of complex Information Services security tools. Acts as the security subject matter expert for key security projects, working with multiple departments and vendors toward successful outcomes.

How much will this job pay?
Posted pay ranges represent the entire pay scale, from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional pay based on shift, certification or level of education. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience and internal equity.

Qualifications:
Security Engineer II:
- Bachelor's Degree required. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Basic Security certification (Security+ or equivalent) required. If not certified, must obtain appropriate certification within six months from date of hire.
- 3 years of information security and/or networking experience required.
Senior Security Engineer:
- Bachelor's Degree required. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Security certification (CISA [Certified Information Systems Auditor], GSEC [GIAC Security Essentials Certification] or CISSP [Certified Information Systems Security Professional]) required. If not certified, must obtain appropriate certification within six months from date of hire.
- Five years of information security and networking experience required.
