Design, Development, Integration Branch (DDIB) oversees Statement of Work Projects (SOW) within Division ofEligibility Systems. This includes but not limited to providing technical assistance to informationtechnology (IT) personnel and contract IT consultants in the design, development, implementation of SOWs.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION:Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree OR a graduate of a college or university with an associate's degree in information technology or related field OR certification in an IT-related field.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS:Four years of professional experience in computer programming, systems analysis, systems support, or computer operating systems.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE:A master's degree in computer science will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION:Two years of additional experience in computer programming, systems analysis, computer operations, business or public administration, statistics, research, or a related field will substitute for the education requirement.

Incumbents working in this job title typically perform duties in an office setting.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.

Design, Development, Integration Branch (DDIB) oversees Statement of Work Projects (SOW) within Division ofEligibility Systems. This includes but not limited to providing technical assistance to informationtechnology (IT) personnel and contract IT consultants in the design, development, implementation of SOWs.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supervise IT staff responsible for Eligibility Systems and provide liaison services between customers,support staff and vendor staff.
- Provide assistance to IT personnel and contract consultants working with Statement of Work Projects (SOWs) inthe Design, Development and Implementation Branch.
- Initiates and reviews system specifications for software changes.
- Conducts analysis of programs, policies, procedures, federal and state laws and regulations for automatedprocedures of support.
- Provides management assistance and project planning, design, development, implementation and maintenance ofcomputer systems as well as cost and staffing needs.
- Promotes the use of statewide information resource management guidelines and technology standards.
- Directly supervises employees.
- Approves or denies requests for leave and overtime.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Experience with Worker Portal, OTIS, or KICCS is preferred but not required.
- Experience with SNAP, KTAP, Medicaid, and Childcare policy and eligibility determination is preferred but notrequired.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office programs including SharePoint.
- Experience managing IT Projects.
- Strong initiative.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- A willingness to work as part of a team.
