The Public Applications Support Branch (PASB) has the responsibility for making system modifications toexisting programs and creating new programs for the Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS) systems andweb applications (i.e. Self-Service Portal (SSP), kynect Ability Portal, kynect Resources Portal, SummerElectronic Benefits Transfer (SEBT), etc.).
The Information Systems Supervisor (ISS) position will supervise one of the two testing teams in PASB. Theteam he/she will supervise will be made up of Business Analysts responsible for testing our applications. Thesuccessful candidate for this position will be responsible for supervising a team of approximately 8-10 stateand contract staff.
Other duties of the ISS position include assigning Change Requests, monitoring assignmentcompletion, reviewing the quality of test case scenarios, approving timesheets, identifying staff needs(additional resources, pay increases, etc.), responses to business partners, communicating and working withthe system vendor that manages and maintains the Integrated Eligibility and Enrollment System (IEES) andmaking recommendations to management to improve processes and procedures. All four test teams work in tandemto ensure system testing is complete for all of IEES systems.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION:Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree OR a graduate of a college or university with an associate's degree in information technology or related field OR certification in an IT-related field.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS:Four years of professional experience in computer programming, systems analysis, systems support, or computer operating systems.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE:A master's degree in computer science will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION:Two years of additional experience in computer programming, systems analysis, computer operations, business or public administration, statistics, research, or a related field will substitute for the education requirement.

Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provides technical assistance to IT personnel and contract consultants in the development, implementation,and maintenance of the Eligibility Systems.
- Provides technical support of system changes or codifications as well as support in creating new systems.
- Provides technical support of system changes or codifications as well as support in creating new systems.
- Supervises IT staff responsible for Eligibility Systems and provides liaison services between customers,support staff, and vendor staff.
- Provides management assistance and project planning, design, development, implementation and maintenance ofcomputer systems as well as cost and staffing needs.
- Promotes the use of statewide information resource management guidelines and technology standards, andparticipates as a member of certain teams and committees.
- Conducts performance appraisals, approves timesheets and leave requests. Makes recommendations to branchmanager regarding salary increases, promotions, training needs and other procedures of support.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Experience with SSP, kynect Resources and/or kynect Ability, and SalesForce is preferred but not required
- Experience with SNAP, KTAP, Medicaid, and/or Childcare policy/eligibility determination is preferred but notrequired
- Experience working with Microsoft Office programs including SharePoint
- Experience working with Team Foundation Server (TFS)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good time management and organizational skills
- A willingness to work as part of a team
