Key Responsibilities

Administrative Functions
  • Authors and administers regulatory compliance policies pertaining to WIOA and our regulatory agencies.
  • Performs inventory valuation of assets and generates annual reports, prepares for on-site physical and logistical inventories.
  • Exercise vendor management and align fiscal requirements with state approved vendors.
  • Facilitate compliance with procurement procedures.
  • Works with Deputy Director - Workforce Development - Career Center Operations in financial forecasting procurement for services, subscriptions, and assets for the Career Center IT and ADA infrastructure.
  • Maintains a compliant infrastructure for local, state and federal audits.
  • Tracks all network hardware asset life cycles and plan for fiscal budgets.
  • Engages in multiple collaboration projects with a myriad of business and operational partners.
  • Acts as the MOSES administrator, processing and submitting all procedural paperwork.
  • Responsible for Technology Infrastructure/Telephony/ADA Assistive Technologies.
  • Responsible for the administration of site-to-site and Hub-and-Spoke model topology for network and facilitate delivery of secondary services within infrastructure.
  • Possess the ability to administer MOSES Kiosk VPN solution with granular configuration of SQL server.
  • Builds out server environments, network support assets, and internal services as needed.
  • Oversees the administration and maintenance of multiple bare metal units, Hyper-V roles, supporting server virtual machines, network switches, firewalls, NAS storage and other network assets.
  • Administer Faronics Core Server and configure agents of Faronics Core server to manage OS updates on all public workstations.
  • Maintains Carbonite storage and back up capacity.
  • Has the knowledge and ability to install and secure Wi-Fi networks.
  • Maintain the Active Directory account administration and administration of O365 exchange.
  • Is responsible for administration of Avaya IP Office and Voicemail PRO telephony system.

Troubleshoot
  • Maintains ADA Assistive Technology infrastructure ensuring compliance.
  • Provides ADA training and creation of ADA instructional videos for staff.

Information Security
  • Acts as local ISO and comply with all federal, state, regulatory and contractual requirements.
  • Authors and administers core policies relating to management of information security.
  • Adheres to all policies around Internal Control and Information Security.
  • Understands obligations and monitor any changes of PII regulatory landscape, implementing new updated policies.
  • Handles PII incidents according to policies.
  • Provides information security training to staff.
  • Maintains an information reporting relationship with the central IT Director
  • Collaborates with Internal Control during any investigations into violations of data breaches.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned from time to time.


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • A minimum of a High school Diploma or equivalent and relevant certification in TIA Networking, The Microsoft Certified Professional or MCP is required.
  • Five to ten years of experience in an IT environment is required.
  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology Administration or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with WIOA (and other Career Center Programs) regulations as they pertain to Information Technology, Information Security, and ADA compliance.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships and collaboration.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience preferred.

Please Note: This position requires frequent travel between the Mass Hire Metro North and Mass Hire Boston Career Centers.
