THE POSITIONOur roster has an opening with your name on it
Sundays are big days for us. We have millions of our closest friends come over to watch the games and maybe we'll enter a million Daily Fantasy line-ups, or we'll place around three million SportsBook wagers. Perhaps we'll use our casino products during the game intervals or maybe we'll take a punt on the horses. Either way, our customers see odds, lines, spreads, line-ups, play-by-play live scoring updates, deposits, and withdrawals. We see resilient Cloud and on-premises infrastructure hosting a multitude of horizontally scalable services that contend with data consistency challenges at scale. This is not a sports job - this is an infrastructure job - infrastructure drives our organization.
FanDuel is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer like you to join our expanding team. The most important characteristic of this team is that we love helping our Engineering teams. THE GAME PLAN
Everyone on our team has a part to play
Working with Engineers and other internal teams, you will deliver and support infrastructure that supports several business verticals. You will be charged with providing maintainable and optimized infrastructure stacks in data centers across the country and in the cloud. You will work with managed service providers and both internal and external project teams. We focus on automation and building repeatable solutions.
The person will join with the Information Technology team and will work across various IT functional areas to assist in the definition, implementation, and support of network, system architectures (production and corporate), and process/documentation standardization efforts.
Forget stakeholders, synergies and other management buzzwords: FanDuel Infrastructure Engineers have charming personalities and the ability to explain complicated things simply. The occasional use of an animated GIF may be required. Aside from that, we're on a huge drive to fully containerize our architecture.

The applicable salary range for this position is $102,000 - $125,000, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate
- BS or 5+ years of related technical experience
- Competence with the Linux operating system, bonus points if it's Fedora
- Experience providing oversight and direction in a vendor managed infrastructure environment
- An ability to administer DNS and SSL Certificates
- Experience with internet networking
- Knowledge of git and GitHub / Bitbucket
- Managing configuration with Terraform
- Being comfortable with observability tools such as DataDog
- Participation with internal teams on availability, performance, efficiency, monitoring, response, and capacity planning
- Provide and participate in testing processes for environments and assistance with analyzing key metrics for optimal performance delivery
- Knowledge of continuous delivery tools such as GoCD
- Familiarity with containerization technologies; particularly Kubernetes
- 3+ years' experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services) and GCP (Google Cloud Platform), as well as the ability to troubleshoot issues
- Being comfortable authoring documentation and sharing for technical process and procedures
- Occasionally being on-call for a team rotation
- Experience with Jira and Confluence
- Understanding of Agile methodology as in the use of sprints and scrum meetings
