Provide advanced expertise in supporting the organization's technical infrastructure and provide technical leadership to internal and/or outsourced staff.

Essential Functions (list in order of importance including measures)
  • Monitors the performance of installed technology, performing required maintenance and upgrades as appropriate. Identifies any resulting impacts on other technologies
  • Performs Network, Server and Datacenter implementations and upgrades
  • Implement, manage and maintain Monitoring solution with producing monthly reports of performance, availability and stability of environment
  • Continuously reviews Security standards and practices
  • Proposes new technical standards and develops new migration plans to the future technology infrastructure
  • Provides guidance and technical coaching to less experienced staff
  • Provides ongoing support and troubleshooting for installed technical solutions
  • Collaborates with Team Lead to oversee all help desk activities

    • Assumes responsibility for knowing and maintaining established hospital and departmental objectives, policies/procedures including general sanitation, safety, environmental and infection control standards.


    • Participates in performance activities including problem identification, data collection, solution selection, implementation and evaluation. Also assists in the care and maintenance of departmental equipment and supplies as appropriate.


    • Participates in staff meetings and other inservices, meetings or committees as required.


    • Provides for professional development of self and staff through participation in seminars, workshops and educational programs to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.


    • Places a high priority on establishing and maintaining "customer service focus" throughout assigned operations.


    General Job Requirements (List any required knowledge, skills, experiences, or training, including length of time necessary for proficiency, required to perform the job.)
    • A Bachelor degree in the field of computer science or related discipline and five years related work experience managing local area and wide area networks
    • A minimum of two years experience as Network Administrator
    • A minimum of two years experience as a Windows Server Administrator
    • Proficiency in the following areas:
      • Linux, Unix and Windows server administration
      • DNS server administration
      • Web server administration
      • VMware Experience
      • Database server administration (primarily MS SQL and Oracle)
      • Firewall administration and internal network security
      • Email administration
      • Software deployment
      • Operational support for end user devices
    • MCSE, CCNA, or other vendor certifications strongly preferred
    • Excellent written and oral communications
    • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Exhibits a strong sense of urgency
    • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects

    Machines, tools, equipment and work aids required: General office equipment; Other Equipment Includes: Network Servers, Network Switches and Routers, Network Storage Devices, and Desktop Equipment.

    Salary Range

    $90k - $120k
