Based in our National Support Center in south Denver, (I-25 & Colorado Blvd) Tuff Shed is recruiting for a Infrastructure Manager, who is responsible for ensuring the overall digital experience for our team members and customers by building and nurturing a team of high-performing individuals. This role is pivotal in maintaining and advancing Tuff Shed, Inc. infrastructure, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security in all systems and services.

(2-days home / 3-days in office)

Do you have what it takes to be a successful Infrastructure Manager?

This individual will manage IT projects, write documentation, and manage infrastructure, and security initiatives while supervising and supporting team members. Additionally, maintain control over IT infrastructure usage and inventory, oversee physical and intellectual assets, and collaborate with leadership on budgeting and licensing. Vendor relationship management and promoting team cohesion through cross-training are also key aspects of this role.

The essential functions for this position include but are not strictly limited to:

Manage and mentor a high-performance infrastructure team:

• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to ensure the team is engaged and achieving objectives.
• Supervise and support team members within the Infrastructure, Security, and Support teams.
• Promote team cohesion and cross-training by collaborating with Support Team Leadership.
• Develop team members' skills, driving efficiency and improving the reliability and availability of infrastructure and systems.
• Create and track Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure team success and infrastructure performance.

Lead infrastructure projects and continuous improvement efforts:

• Manage IT projects that focus on documentation, infrastructure, and security initiatives, ensuring successful deployment and execution.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute projects related to infrastructure upgrades, system migrations, and other key initiatives.
• Apply project management methodologies throughout the project lifecycle, delivering on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure initiatives with business priorities.

Oversee infrastructure operations and asset management:

• Maintain control over the usage and inventory of IT infrastructure and physical/intellectual assets.
• Oversee Tuff Shed, Inc. network, servers, storage, and cloud services to ensure optimal performance and availability.
• Implement monitoring tools and processes to proactively detect and resolve issues.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery preparedness for all critical systems.

Vendor management and procurement support:

• Maintain and establish vendor relationships to support Tuff Shed, Inc. infrastructure and assets.
• Assist leadership with budgeting, forecasting, and managing licensing for IT assets and software.
• Negotiate contracts and service agreements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance requirements.

Ensure security and compliance standards are met:

• Work closely with the security team to ensure infrastructure meets or exceeds security policy and framework requirements.
• Support the development and testing of business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
• Stay current on industry best practices, compliance regulations, and emerging technologies.

Skills:

• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Proven ability to interact with leadership and communicate effectively across all levels.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity practices and testing of cybersecurity plans.
• High energy, curiosity, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Proficient in security tools to monitor logs and detect incidents.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Word and Excel.
• Ability to read, write and understand instructions given orally, in writing and/or in diagram form.
• Ability to prepare written correspondence and reports that are grammatically correct and create a professional image for Tuff Shed, Inc.
• Ability to effectively communicate with executives, management, suppliers, customers, employees, and commercial accounts in a wide range of situations.
• Ability to effectively present information orally in one-on-one and small group situations to company leadership, customers and other employees and if necessary, the public.

Experience:

• Experience managing IT projects related to infrastructure, documentation, and security initiatives.
• Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and security services (AWS, Azure, or similar).
• Strong analytical and systems design background
• Experience managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts.
• Budgeting and asset management experience, including software licensing.

EDUCATION:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
