Job Purpose

Responsible for supporting the Account Executives in designing, documenting, and presenting complex solutions for new and existing customers. Gathers requirements, positions, and designs solutions that are consistent with operational best practices. Required to maintain a strong knowledge of emerging technologies and to provide guidance to the sales team and customers. Committed to developing long-term customer relationships by understanding customer requirements and specifying services and products to drive their desired business outcomes. This role is the base Solution Architect role and encompasses a broad spectrum of capabilities.

Essential Functions
  • Technical Sales Support and Development 70% - Assist Account Executives visiting customers, participating in project meetings, and owning the technical follow-up, including but not limited to:
    • Customer and vendor meetings, customer demonstrations and POC's, detailed Visio creation, customer-facing and vendor technology presentations, project oversight, configuration/sizing using standard and vendor-supplied tools, research and technical proposal content
    • Provides technical leadership for projects in a presales capacity; takes ownership of technical issues and understands escalation procedures (internal and vendor)
  • Collaboration and Continuous Improvement 15% - Continuous education in OnX, vendor, and industry solutions; obtains new and maintains assigned certifications
  • Professional Services Support and Development 15% - Scoping of Professional Services and creation of Statements of Work aligned to customer requirements
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience
  • 3 to 5 years of experience
  • And/or 5 years of relevant work experience deploying Enterprise IT solutions

Education
  • Two years of College or Technical School resulting in an Associate's Degree or equivalent
  • Certification(s) in information technology
  • Strong Visio Skills
  • Able to understand complex business - technical requirements
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Command of research avenues to get timely and accurate technical information
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

Work Environment
  • Regular overnight travel up to 50%
  • Regular territory travel up to 50%
  • Light physical demands such as lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Varying work hours required on occasion based on business needs
