Medix Infusion is seeking an experienced and patient-focused Infusion Director of Patient Services to lead our specialized programs and day-to-day operations. This role is pivotal to our mission of delivering exceptional infusion therapy and patient care while fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. The Director will guide a dynamic team, implement strategic initiatives, and drive organizational growth through collaboration and innovation.

This is a hybrid role at our corporate office, open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. You'll be part of a supportive, close-knit team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that is deeply focused on delivering exceptional, patient-centered care.

The ideal candidate is a professional in the health care industry, with Customer Service, Infusion, Specialty pharmacy, and Operations experience as well as expertise and knowledge of business process improvement methodologies. A passion for patient care and creating a strong culture of continuous learning should drive this leader. Finally, a keen financial acumen with the ability to develop business cases for change is essential. In addition to general supervision of operations, the candidate will collaborate cross-functionally to take strategic initiatives and tactically implement them. Client management experience is preferred as this role will interact with partners internally and externally to Medix.

We specialize in disease management and infusion pharmacy services for chronic and acutely ill patients, especially those in underserved communities. We offer personalized home and in-suite infusion therapies, ensuring convenience and comfort. Our expert team provides a comprehensive range of treatments, including anti-infectives, biologics, IVIG, and other injectables, making each patient's journey as smooth as possible.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Foster a culture of excellence, learning, and patient-focused care.
  • Develop and mentor staff, ensuring personal and professional growth.
  • Promote collaboration across departments, including pharmacy, nursing, and operations.
  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality infusion and specialty pharmacy services.
  • Design and implement patient care programs tailored to diverse infusion therapy needs.
  • Ensure compliance with national, state, and local regulations, as well as accreditation standards (e.g., ACHC, URAC).
  • Develop and execute annual operating plans with measurable goals.
  • Identify and implement process improvements using methodologies such as Six Sigma and Kaizen.
  • Monitor key performance indicators to ensure quality, compliance, and financial targets are met.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to drive strategic initiatives.
  • Manage internal and external client relationships to enhance service delivery.
  • Advocate for resources, including staffing, equipment, and systems, to optimize operations.
  • Lead quality monitoring and improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Use benchmarking data to identify opportunities for service enhancement and cost efficiency
  • Maintain a safe, compliant, and patient-focused environment.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required;
  • 4+ years in infusion, specialty pharmacy or related field.
  • 3+ Patient Services or healthcare operations leadership.
  • Proven success in call center and patient care team management.
  • Expertise in process improvement and system integration.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with teams and clients effectively.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities to drive continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and achieve strategic goals.
  • Six Sigma or other process improvement certifications preferred.
