Description du poste

Rattach au responsable mthodes et outillage, l'ingnieur participe la conception des outils d'installation, d'usinage, de dmontage, de manutention et de levage. Il participe la conception d'outils spcialiss lis des projets majeurs rcents ou en cours de soumission.

• Analyser les informations techniques (spcifications techniques, tendue des travaux, rpartition des tches) ;
• Responsable de la conception de l'outillage spcial du site pour l'assemblage du site conformment la planification et au budget du site en tenant compte de l'aspect EHS ;
• Planifier la phase de conception de l'outillage, le suivi et la coordination avec l'quipe de projet ;
• Participer aux revues de conception de divers projets et s'assurer que la conception est cohrente avec les mthodes d'installation sur le site ;
• Optimiser la conception de l'outillage ou de la machine afin d'amliorer et de rduire le temps d'installation sur le site ;
• Prparer les informations et superviser l'excution des dessins techniques ;
• Rdiger des rapports et des documents d'ingnierie, y compris des procdures d'essai, des notes d'ingnierie, des manuels d'entretien ;
• Fournir un soutien technique la chane d'approvisionnement et participer au soutien technique des quipes du site ;
• Valider le cot des procdures et de l'outillage pendant la phase d'appel d'offres avec d'autres membres de l'quipe de construction et de mise en service ;
• Responsable des livrables et des budgets pour leurs projets.

Reporting to the Methods & Special Tooling Leader, the Engineer is involved in the design of installation tools, machining, dismantling, handling and lifting tools. Participate in the design of specialized tools related to recent major projects or being submitted.

• Analyze technical information (technical specifications, scope of work, work breakdown) ;
• Responsible for the design of special site tooling for site assembly in accordance with site planning and budget, taking into account the EHS aspect ;
• Plan the tooling design phase, monitoring and coordinating with the project team ;
• Participate in design reviews of various projects and ensure that the design is consistent with site installation methods ;
• Optimize tooling or machine design to improve and reduce site installation time ;
• Prepare information and supervise the execution of technical drawings ;
• Write engineering reports and documents, including test procedures, engineering notes, maintenance manuals, etc ;
• Provide technical support to the supply chain and participate in the technical support of site teams ;
• Validate the cost of procedures and tooling during the tender phase with other members of the construction and commissioning team ;
• Responsible for project deliverables and budgets.

Qualifications

• Baccalaurat en ingnierie mcanique ;
• Au moins 5 ans d'exprience pertinente ;
• Connaissance des normes de scurit pour les quipements de manutention et de levage (OSHA) B30.20 sous le crochet, un atout ;
• La connaissance du soudage et de l'usinage serait un atout ;
• Doit tre autoris travailler aux tats-Unis sans restriction et/ou possder un Visa TN 1 ;
• Prt voyager de temps en temps en Amrique du Nord (5%) ;
• Une exprience dans le domaine de l'hydrolectricit est fortement recommande ;
• tre passionn par la conception mcanique et le domaine de l'hydrolectricit ;
• Bilingue franais et anglais ;
• La connaissance des mthodes de calcul lies la rsistance des matriaux, la simulation par lments finis, la mtallurgie et au soudage sont des atouts pour ce travail ;
• Conception de dessins en 3D (NX) ;
• SmartSheet et Excel Connaissances intermdiaires.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering ;
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience ;
• Knowledge of Safety Standards for Material Handling and Lifting Equipment (OSHA) B30.20 Below the hook, an asset ;
• Knowledge of welding and machining, an asset ;
• Must be authorized to work in the US without restriction or if not, canadians having the TN-1 Visa ;
• Ready to travel time to time in North America (5%) ;
• Experience in hydroelectricity field highly recommended ;
• To be passionate about mechanical design and the field of hydropower ;
• Bilingual French and English ;
• Knowledge of calculation methods related to material resistance, finite element simulation, metallurgy and welding are assets for this work ;
• Design 3D drawing (NX) ;
• SmartSheet et Excel Intermediate knowledge.
