We seek an experienced In-House Counsel with a strong healthcare law background to provide legal counsel and support, focusing on healthcare-specific matters. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Responsibilities:
- Advise on federal and state healthcare regulations (HIPAA, Stark, Anti-Kickback, False Claims Act, Medicare/Medicaid, licensing).
- Draft and negotiate healthcare agreements (provider, managed care, vendor).
- Develop and implement corporate healthcare compliance policies.
- Advise on risk management and mitigation.
- Manage healthcare-related litigation and investigations.
- Stay updated on healthcare law changes and advise accordingly.
- Collaborate with external counsel.
- Provide legal training on healthcare compliance.
- Assist with corporate governance and strategic transactions.
- Employment Law & Workforce Oversight
- Perform other legal duties.
Qualifications:
- JD degree, bar admission (California Required).
- 3-5 + years healthcare law experience required (in-house or law firm).
- Deep understanding of healthcare regulations.
- Proven experience drafting healthcare agreements.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- High ethical standards and commitment to compliance.
- Experience with healthcare compliance programs and risk management.
