Description
Webster Elementary School has one full-time, 10-month In-school Resource Teacher position.
Position to be filled for the start of the 2025-2026 school year.
This 2- year MSAP grant funded position will support the Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) Department's Magnet Schools Assistance Program (MSAP) federal grant, "Amplifying the Arts in San Diego Unified School District."
The grant's objectives are to support Webster's STEAM focused program and to reverse minority group isolation at the site.

Examples of Duties
The In-school Resource Teacher will need to have the ability to:
1. Implement the grant by coordinating curriculum, materials, professional learning, events, and marketing at the magnet school.
2. Work closely with the MSAP grant team, district personnel, site leadership and staff.
3. Lead and support professional development and offer support around instructional practices, including interdisciplinary curricular design and inquiry based learning.
4. Support teaching and learning that builds welcoming environments that honor and include all learners, their families, and the community.
5. Familiarize themselves with the goals and operations of magnet schools and/or federal grants.
6. Comply with grant requirements such as documentation and data collection.
7. Travel to and from workshops, conferences, meetings and in-services. (local and out of state)
Minimum Qualifications
Qualified applicants must have a valid California Multiple Subject Credential or a Single Subject Credential, preferably in science.
Applicant's credential must be attached to their application and registered with the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing by the close of the posting.
Teachers who have taught in a STEAM focused classroom or developed STEAM curriculum are preferred.
Experience coaching teachers is preferred.

Applicants must have a valid California driver's license and be prepared to conduct, participate in, and travel to sites, professional development sessions, workshops, and meetings.
