We are seeking an Inside Sales Manager who is detail-oriented, an excellent communicator, and able to multitask effectively while working toward achieving company sales goals in a fast-paced environment. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Providing overall management and leadership of the Inside Sales team; mentoring and developing team members to sell consultatively, expand business within existing accounts, and penetrate new markets.
  • Supervising and continuously improving the company's sales processes to align with evolving business needs.
  • Collaborating with the Sr. Sales Director to create and implement effective sales strategies that support corporate objectives.
  • Leading the development and optimization of the CRM system; ensuring team training and compliance with CRM best practices.
  • Overseeing sales operations, including Coordinating demand planning activities for near-term Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) and Sales and Operations Execution (S&OE).
  • Developing forecast models based on customer data, industry trends, and demand patterns.
  • Communicating forecast projections to management and identifying solutions to improve forecasting accuracy.
  • Overseeing CRM, metrics, reporting, and order processing.
  • Driving corporate initiatives such as new product launches and vertical market campaigns in coordination with Sales and Marketing teams.
  • Managing expense budgets, compensation programs, and incentive planning.
  • Establishing and monitoring key performance metrics and dashboards for the Inside Sales Team.
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts and implementing corrective actions when needed.
  • Contributing to the annual strategic planning process with relevant sales input.
  • Collaborating with the Product Management team to provide customer feedback and enhance product satisfaction.
  • Providing input on outbound campaigns, advertising, literature, and promotional materials.
  • Recommending pricing strategies to maintain competitiveness in the marketplace.
  • Supporting risk assessments and mitigation efforts as needed.

Required Qualifications:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence and presence when speaking in front of customers or large groups.
  • Ability to quickly establish credibility, trust, and support within all levels of a customer's organization.
  • Commercial and growth-oriented mindset with a proven ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects while meeting deadlines in a high-performance environment.
  • Candidates must reside in the region of responsibility.


Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales/marketing roles
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience, preferably sales management
  • Experience with water quality and/or water level instrumentation
  • BA degree (an MBA is preferred), degree in environmental, geology, chemistry preferred
  • Strong team building skills and desire to contribute to strong team environment
  • Experience in successfully utilizing a professional sales process system such as Miller Heiman, Challenger Sales, Sandler, etc.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with CRM systems


Supervisory Duties:
  • Line Management of Inside Sales Representatives and Sales Administration team, currently 10 direct reports.
  • In office and remote teams


Working Environment/Physical Activities:
  • 10% travel.
  • Lifting, bending, reaching, squatting, walking, sitting.
  • Ability to traverse natural environments.
  • Ability to lift at least 20 lbs.


Total Rewards:

Compensation: Compensation will be commensurate with the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as alignment with market data and internal benchmarks.
  • Salary Range: $80,000 - $95,000 annually.
  • Potential Variable Compensation: Targeted at $30,000 - $40,000 of salary for achieving 100% of target completion, with accelerated, uncapped variable compensation for exceeding sales targets.
