ASU, recognized for the last 9 consecutive years by US News and World Report as the most innovative university, is seeking an Audio-Visual Coordinator to join the University's Learning Experience (LX) group. Housed within ASU's Enterprise Technology team, LX designs and maintains a wide inventory of technology-enhanced spaces that catalyze learning and innovation. The Audio-Visual Coordinator occupies a central role in LX's delivery of AV as a service to the University by consulting with University departments about their AV needs, working within LX's standards to deliver solutions, and providing support over the course of the AV equipment lifecycle.
Working Environment
Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, standing and walking; frequent physical demands may include stooping, bending, crawling under/around objects, reaching, lifting and pushing objects of varying weights up to and over 100 pounds.Regular review of completed tasks.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or closely related field AND 6 years providing instructional technology diagnostic and trouble-shooting support in a client server, cross platform environment. OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Desired Qualifications
- Certifications: AVIXA or PMI certification strongly preferred; manufacturer certifications (e.g. Biamp, Crestron, Extron, Harman, Shure)
- Demonstrated experience creating and interpreting technical and construction documents; experience with Blue Beam Revue and Visio (or equivalent programs)
- Experience using project tracking software such as JIRA; experience with IT Service Management platforms such as ServiceNow.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex audiovisual environments and implement fixes, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with higher education business processes

Essential Duties
- Field requests for AV solutions from university business units; meet with requesters to perform needs analyses; work with LX AV system engineers to create solutions; provide budgetary estimates and secure proposals; coordinate implementation; provide training and support
- Engage and manage outside vendors to implement defined scope, including AV integrators; electricians and other facilities maintenance personnel; facility and IT security; telecommunications technicians and engineers.
- Proactively monitor AV/VTC systems; perform or coordinate repair/triage.
- Actively monitor IT service management platform for incidents and requests that fall within assigned area; maintain communication with requestors; coordinate with LX's AV field engineer team or external vendors to facilitate resolutions.
- Stay current with industry trends and professional development.
