PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Join the Director in the development and execution of the strategic business plan and ongoing marketing and business development efforts.
  • Support business unit proposal and estimating activities including labor equipment cost estimates and schedule development.
  • Review / approve proposals and interface with Business Development to respond to RFP's.
  • Support Business Development team "front wheel / back wheel" direct sales approach. Participate in joint marketing meetings with company affiliate.
  • Active involvement in business development calls, as appropriate.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of standard work practices/processes and employee training programs to ensure quality services and work products.
  • Provide mentoring and support development/training activities for personnel.
  • Develop and implement standard field operation procedures, as required.
  • Responsible for overall QA/QC, including coordination of project audits as appropriate.
  • Work with accounting resources to ensure the timely preparation and correctness of invoices.
  • Source personnel and plan training opportunities for current field personnel, to expand current skillsets to include pipeline integrity field and corrosion work.
  • Develop and maintain cathodic protection technical specs and drawings.
  • Develop and maintain internal corrosion procedures.
  • Develop / maintain AC mitigation system technical specifications and drawings.
  • Provide technical support / direction to staff
  • Provide written reports, including data analysis, recommendations for mitigation and additional testing.
  • Develop / maintain in-house 192 and 195 operations maintenance and integrity management procedures
  • Technical responsibility for HCA / EFRD / Risk processes. Collaborate with data management and field services to execute projects.
  • Provide written reports, including data analysis, recommendations for mitigation and additional testing.
  • Ensure field work and data submissions meet client specifications and communicate such specifications to field personnel.
  • Assist clients in the field on an on-call basis including the appropriate attire for field services. This includes but is not limited to vehicle, tools, steel toed boots, fire resistant clothing, hard hat, safety goggles and gloves


EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree, Engineering Degree a plus.
  • NACE International Corrosion / Cathodic Protection certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with at least 2 years in a pipeline integrity field service management or project management role.
  • Extensive experience overseeing pipeline field service activities including coordinating pipeline survey crews for over the line surveys, depth of cover, CIS, DCVG, ACVG, PCM, AC mitigation, atmospheric coating inspection, etc.
  • Experience with ECDA indirect assessment and direct assessment inspection methods.
  • Extensive experience with design, installation and testing of cathodic protection systems, corrosion monitoring and stray current interference testing for regulated pipelines and on-grade storage tanks.
  • Experience with current survey technology such as Trimble sub-meter GPS, including setting up, trouble shooting, programming, and processing the data obtained during the execution of the field work.
  • Experience with current indirect assessment survey technology such as Allegro Field Datalogger, DCVG, ACVG ACCA, and PCM equipment.
  • General understanding of current surveying and mapping practices and technology including BlueSky Lightning, ESRI Suite of GIS software, and Autodesk AutoCAD.
  • Must be detail oriented with effective organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
