Intermediary Services Manager

Description:
Leading investment management firm seeks Manager who will be responsible for operational oversight/efficiency and employee development for a team of three in Intermediary Services and aligned channels.
Responsibilities:
Back-office operations oversight - act as DTCC relationship lead; develop/maintain up-to-date training/procedures; manage staff to ensure broker-dealers/intermediary partners receive accurate/timely service; develop service strategy in collaboration with management; contribute to internal tech/ops project initiatives; promote culture of continuous efficiency improvements; establish/maintain positive working relationships; actively participate in internal/vendor/industry events
Intermediary data management oversight - ensure accurate data records; liaise internally/with distributors to guarantee capture of all data; maintain active dialogue with relevant teams to ensure consistent communication; utilize team/channel information to provide real-time data access/quarterly reporting; communicate proper relationship management recording protocols; promptly report any issues; analyze intermediary/vendor contracts, collaborate with legal/marketing/accounting RE: new/existing contracts; identify/document process deficiencies and recommend improvements; lead meetings to gather data/facilitate collaborative problem-solving
Talent development/performance management - develop/maintain 30/60/90 day new employee onboarding; plan/monitor internal systems and maintain coaching/mentorship; ensure partners receive accurate/timely data; develop service strategy; contribute to internal project initiatives; proactively manage staffing (offline time/vacation and daily service level expectations); handle quarterly performance review; continuously develop reps via coaching; providing feedback/mentoring; create programs to promote superior service delivery/career advancement
Requirements:
5+ years of financial services/intermediary back-office operations; 2+ years of management/supervisory/leadership in financial services/customer facing environment preferred
Series 6 or 7 and 63 required; Series 26 or 24 preferred (or must be willing to obtain within six months of hire)
Proficient in Microsoft 365, SQL, Tableau (or willing to learn)
Extensive industry knowledge in back-office operations with DTCC (trading/reconciliation/etc.) across various investment management products (mutual funds/CITs/ETFs)
Excellent communication skills; ability to work under pressure/manage tight deadlines; ability to read/understand intermediary contracts and maintain onboarding/change management program across multiple systems/teams; deep desire to understand/analyze data; problem solving skills; adaptable
Target base salary range for this role is between $100-120k, but can be flexible depending on experience. Role is eligible for firm employee bonus plan targeted at 10% of base salary.
