The opportunity...
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Government Internal Audit Services, this position is responsible for conducting audits in the areas of governance, compliance, performance, risk assessment and management across all departments of the Government of Yukon
The successful incumbent will provide expertise, advice and consultation services to clients on the use and evaluation of risk management and control strategies; assist with technical training and coaching; evaluate client needs and identify professional services to improve operations and effectively manage relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications
- Chartered Professional Accountant -Canada (CPA) and/or an audit designation such as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Government Audit Professional (CGAP)
- Considerable, recent experience leading internal audit projects including planning, conducting and coordinating related activities, preferably within a government setting.
- Experience presenting and providing advice/recommendations to management.
- Experience writing internal audit reports; preparing and maintaining working papers in accordance with professional standards.
- Knowledge and experience applying internal control frameworks (i.e., COSO), principles, practices, IIA Standards and methodologies.
- Proficient use of Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
