Full time/ 40 hrs. pr week

10 hr. shifts- Monday -Friday

On call required 7-10 days per month including holidays

$10,000 sign-on bonus!

Position Requirements:
~ Graduate of AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology
~ ARRT Registration
~ 1~3 years Radiology experience in Hospital/Trauma environment
~ 1 +yrs of experience specific to SPECIAL PROCEDURES (non~specific to Cath. Lab.)
~ Knowledge of sterile techniques
~ Must be able to recognize needs and
behaviors of a variety of age groups of
patients treated, i.e. understand child growth
and development, normal patterns of
adolescent behavior and look for signs of
normal aging prior experience with various
age groups is preferred
~ Proficient in the operation of basic
angiographic equipment
~ Basic computer skills preferred
~ Computer literate
~ Knowledge of Special Procedure Services

~ ARRT Registry ~ first year of employment
~ CPR Certification within six months of
employment
~ IEMA License
~ Able to respond to request to work on short notice
~ Flexible in starting times to meet demand
~ As required, must be able to transport, move, and lift patients
~ Must be able to take call (Every third week cycle)
~ Must be able to work under stressful conditions
~ Willing to work overtime as requested

If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case~by~case basis.

Purpose:
With the use of specific high technology equipment, at the director of a qualified physician, the technologist assists in performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures upon patients, leading to various diagnoses and treatment options. The technologist will perform a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.

Accountabilities:
Performs technical function pertaining to, and stays abreast of, equipment, tray preparation and contrast media
Assists in the development and maintenance of laboratory records to assure the excellence of care afforded
Cooperates as a team player with nursing unit staff, other allied health care professionals and physicians, to promote the efficiency and quality of care provided by the Interventional Radiology Service 'Maintains appropriate competencies as defined by the ACR, Established Regulatory Standards, IEMA, IRSRT and ASRT to include and not to exclude any other formal regulatory recommended requirements and/or newly revised standards.
Produces quality digital images to demonstrate the peripheral, viscera, and neurovascular system and/or non~vascular imaging performed in the Interventional Radiology Laboratory.
Assists credentialed radiologists in imaging and revascularization procedures

Addendum:
NIH Stroke Scale annual education
Total of 8 hours of stroke education/year (inclusive of the NIH education)

Additional Job Accountability: Practicing using the stroke core measures as the guide to appropriate stroke care.

NOTE: Comply with mandatory DiMedici Computer Program for Fire Safety, MRI Safety, and Universal Precautions Maintain CPR Certification.
Must maintain professional decorum, and adhere to dress code as required by department no deviations allowed.
Maintains appropriate competencies as defined by the ACR, Accrediting Organization, IEMA, IRSRT and ASRT to include and not to exclude any other formal regulatory recommended requirements and/or newly revised standards.

Pay Range
$37.50 - $56.25
