About the Job

As an Investment Officer in Private Markets, you will collaborate with other members of the Private Markets team to conduct due diligence on and invest in private equity and private credit partnerships and to invest capital directly in private companies through co-investments in equity and direct investments in debt and debt-related securities.

You will also monitor a portion of PSRS/PEERS' $13 billion private equity and private credit portfolios, which include more than 500 partnerships/investments. Your will analyze current performance and cash flows using quantitative and qualitative analyses of potential private investments. You will interact with external consultants and private equity and private credit groups, and you will actively participate in due diligence meetings and prepare materials for an internal Investment Committee.

This position reports to the Senior Portfolio Manager for Private Markets. Overnight travel is required.

Job Requirements

Our ideal candidate has at least a bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field. MBA and/or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation preferred. Active participation in the CFA course of study is required, as well as at least four years of institutional investment experience.
