Investment Performance Analyst | Los Angeles (Hybrid)
Established investment advisory firm ($60B+ AUM) seeks experienced analyst to serve as an integral part of the Performance, Analytics and Risk team responsible for all aspects surrounding the overall production/maintenance/analysis of performance and risk reporting within the Wealth Advisory Group.
Responsibilities:
Produce timely delivery of periodic client reporting; create custom reporting as needed
Respond to internal ad-hoc requests for data (e.g. custom client performance and risk requests, portfolio analytics, peer analysis, market data)
Create/maintain performance reporting portals, screening tools, due-diligence databases and proprietary proposal tools
Develop/maintain knowledge of the Fund landscape to facilitate peer group analysis/external manager research
Proactively source, recommend and implement process changes across groups as needed
Collaborate to develop/complete special initiative projects as needed
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, statistics or equivalent
Progress towards CFA, CIPM, CFP or other relevant designations is a plus
3+ years' relevant experience ideally within the wealth management industry
Enthusiasm for financial markets and investing
Strong analytical skills and familiarity with holdings-based and returns-based analysis as well as performance measurement concepts
Experience with FactSet, Morningstar, and/or eVestment analytics is preferred; experience with eMoney preferred
Proficient in MS Excel (sort, search, link, pivot tables, formatting, formulas, macros, VB, etc.)
Ability to competently handle multiple projects and/or tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
Effective organizational skills and strong communication skills
Self-starter with motivation to develop new ideas to enhance current procedures
Ability to explain detailed messages to internal stakeholders
Ability to work both independently and effectively in a team environment
The target base salary range is $100-120k. The starting salary offer will vary depending on factors such as applicant's education, experience, skills, alignment with market data, etc. Company offers an extensive/competitive benefits package as well.
