Job Title: Rad Tech
Job Specialty: Cath Lab/IR Tech - Cardiac Cath Lab
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 10H Days, 0700-1730, 4 days/week
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Minimum 2 years
License: Required
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) via CCI
Must-Have:
- More than 3 years of experience in a hospital setting for Cardiac Cath/IR
- Proficiency with Siemens equipment
- Familiarity with EPIC/Apollo cardiac charting
Job Description:
- Perform intra-procedural circulating, including the management of supplies and medication administration.
- Assist with sedation during procedures.
- Handle cases with common diagnoses such as Compression Fractures, Venous Access, Hydronephrosis, Chest Pain, Pulmonary Hypertension, Shortness of Breath, Gastric Ulcer, Pulmonary Embolism, and Deep Vein Thrombosis.
- Coordinate and manage a versatile lab that primarily performs Interventional Radiology with Cardiac inpatient add-ons and STEMI preparations up to IABP stabilization.
- Operate in a team environment with 3 Cath Lab Techs, under the supervision of a charge nurse who may take on assignments.
- Adhere to floating requirements, both daily and on-call as needed.
- Observe dress code in surgical greens.
- Complete a week of department-specific orientation, including on-call buddy training.
- Meet on-call requirements, including 10 weeknight shifts, 2 weekends, and holiday calls with a 30-minute response time.
