Overview

A pioneer in groundbreaking scientific and engineering developments since the 1960's, TRC is a national engineering, consulting and construction management firm providing integrated services to the energy, environmental and infrastructure markets. We serve a broad range of clients in government and industry, implementing complex projects from initial concept to operations.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cloud Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Identity and Access Management (IAM), Entra ID, Office 365, Resource Tagging, SSL Certificate Management, and both Azure and AWS infrastructure. This role will be responsible for managing and optimizing our cloud infrastructure, ensuring security, and supporting our cloud-based applications.

A successful candidate must demonstrate exceptional technical, communication, problem-solving and analytical skills. This person will be detail-oriented, self-directed and self-motivated, and be able to effectively communicate with and share information within the IT organization and organization at large. This person must be able to gather requirements and recommend cloud solutions to help support our over 7000+ employees in multiple countries and operating sectors. Work is performed under limited supervision and performance is based upon successful and timely completion of assignments and responsibilities, the results obtained, and adherence to organization guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to our organization's cloud technology strategy and vision
• Design, develop and implement cost-efficient, fault-tolerant and scalable cloud applications and business solutions leveraging appropriate technologies across platforms such as Azure and AWS
• Preform ongoing cost optimization and auditing of existing resources to ensure security and cost best practices
• Architect solutions and provide technical guidance to help business groups achieve success and improve operational efficiency
• Oversee core identity management, authentication and access systems including Active Directory, multi-factor authentication, and single sign on
• Manage email messaging and communication platform(s) in a Office 365 Environment
• Coordinate within team and other IT and business groups to achieve successful outcomes
• Identify, resolve, and document incidents, requests and problems relating to cloud systems
• Maintain documentation of cloud systems designs and configurations
• Provide leadership and cross-training for other IT and business colleagues in cloud technology
• Ensure Resource Tagging for cost management and reporting in AWS and Azure
• SSL Certificate Management

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working with enterprise cloud technologies (Azure and/or AWS preferred)

• Experience driving discussions with business leaders and senior management regarding best practices, project management and risk mitigation
• Ability to think strategically about business and technical challenges
• Experience designing and implementing technology infrastructure and applications at scale
• Comprehensive understanding of the following subject matter areas:
  • Proficiency in managing both Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
  • Cloud computing stack: IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Hybrid
  • Microsoft enterprise and cloud systems including Windows, Azure, and Office 365
  • Integration of cloud services with on-premises technologies
• Knowledge of scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Azure CLI, AWS CLI)Networking and related technologies TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, IPsec, etc.
  • Power Automate and Power BI management
  • Certificate and Key management
  • Strong understanding of cloud security best practices
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Expert research, analytical, and problem-resolution skills
• Work independently, self-directed and self-motivated
• Travel may be required up to 5%

• Available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range

USD $83,304.00 - USD $100,000.00 /Yr.
