Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Microsoft 365 Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our Microsoft 365 environment. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise across core M365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Microsoft Entra ID, and security & compliance features. Experience with the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) is highly preferred. You will be responsible for defining and implementing best practices, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency, and providing strategic guidance on leveraging M365 to achieve our business objectives.
Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Architecture:
o Develop and maintain the overall M365 architecture roadmap, aligning with business requirements and IT strategy.
o Evaluate and recommend new M365 features and technologies to enhance productivity and collaboration.
o Lead the design and implementation of complex M365 solutions, including migrations, integrations, and customizations.
o Define and enforce M365 governance policies and standards.
o Utilize enterprise architecture frameworks in planning and designing M365 solutions.
Implementation and Management:
o Oversee the deployment and configuration of M365 services, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
o Manage and troubleshoot complex M365 issues, coordinate expert-level support.
o Develop and maintain documentation for M365 architecture, configurations, and processes.
Power Platform (Preferred):
o Establish and maintain Power Platform best practices.
o Provide guidance on Power Platform licensing and capacity planning.
Security and Compliance:
o Understand M365 security best practices, including access control, data loss prevention, and threat protection.
o Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
o Coordinate regular security assessments and audits of the M365 environment.
o Understand and recommend security features of Microsoft Entra ID as it pertains to M365.
Collaboration and Communication:
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT operations, security, and business stakeholders.
o Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
o Communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders, translating technical concepts into business terms.
o Lead training efforts regarding M365 best practices.
Ongoing Improvement:
o Stay up to date with the latest M365 updates and trends.
o Proactively identify and address potential issues and areas for improvement

Experience with Power Platform design, development, and administration.
Experience with Dataverse.
Familiarity with an enterprise architecture framework (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
Experience with cloud/on-prem hybrid environments
Experience in a regulated industry.
Experience with project management.
Experience with PowerShell
