The WMS Business Analyst, Sr role provides a vital lead liaison role between business users, external business users (customers), management stakeholders and IT. This role is responsible for the support of any issues or problems as they relate to the current warehouse management systems (WMS), and various other solutions.

The role will be responsible for the translation of the business requirements into clear systems requirements with defined ranges to be used by application interface development and IT department. A thorough understanding of multiple functional areas related to transportation, warehousing, third party logistics and business/system interface {EDI (electronic data interchange)} related projects and/or day-to-day support is required. The ability to identify and quantify business process improvements along with system improvements using technology is critical.

What you'll do:

• Play a lead role in implementation and support of various WMS's such as but not limited to Synapse, Techship
• Ability to learn a variety of systems to create automation and implement solutions for Transportation.
• Build reports and dashboards. SQL a must.
• Provide requirement documentation and analysis of existing and proposed business process designs within a specified business function.
• Work closely with internal/external IT resources and end users to design, build and implement process based WMS solutions.
• Provide regular communication between business and IT functions.
• Provide research to support process enhancement budget/resource estimation.
• Analyze complex business problems and assess how automated systems can be implemented to solve them.

What you'll have:

• Strong SQL is highly desired.
• Experience supporting WMS's like Synapse and Techship is highly desired.
• Diverse IT technical background. SQL, Report development, EDI, VPN, IP protocols.
• Project management and system implementation skills.
• Thorough understanding and experience with Transportation Management Systems (Experience with other TMSs is required)
• Understanding of EDI.
• Must have intermediate to advanced MS-Office competency with an emphasis on MS Power-point, MS Word and Excel.
• The position requires effective analytical thinking, careful attention to detail, and a disciplined approach to systems management.
• Able to multitask and work unsupervised to complete tasks , and excellent communication skills (oral and written)
• Ability to work independently unsupervised and manage and complete assignments in a timely manner.
• Some travel and schedule changes may be required as the business needs change.
• 8+ years of working experience in 3PL (Transportation-Distribution-CFS).
• 5 years of business process analysis and /or design experience.
• Project management and system implementation skills.
