Position Summary:
The IT Business Analyst is multi-faceted in its scope with the primary focus being on supporting structured data and platforms for client, data warehouse and actuarial data integrations resulting from new deals as well as associated production support tasks for ongoing operational processing of data.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with multiple departments as well as IT developers to troubleshoot production issues quickly and effectively to minimize disruption in day-to-day business processes.
  • Analyze and understand relationships in large data sets using Microsoft Excel and SQL.
  • Ensure the on-boarding of data files meets target deadlines through task resolution in a timely and organized manner.
  • Maintain needed data validation processes and ensure they are accurate.
  • Execute all quarter and year end close activities, working closely with data source providers as needed to resolve issues.
  • Perform integration testing and regression testing and troubleshooting any issues that surface.
  • Develop and utilize standard templates to accurately and concisely write requirement specifications, testing documents and process documentation.
  • Translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team.


Basic Qualifications:
  • 2 years minimum direct work experience in an IT business analyst role with a strong focus in data analysis; financial services industry experience preferred.
  • Exceptional analysis, problem identification and resolution skills.
  • Ability to structure and drive working sessions that promote collaboration and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to set and manage priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to query and manipulate data through Microsoft XL and SQL.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with business and technology colleagues at all organizational levels.
  • Experience in Agile methodology and the use of Agile planning tools (e.g., DevOps boards) and JIRA desired


Required Education / Certifications:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science or other related discipline

Base salary/hourly rate range for this position in Connecticut is between $80,000 and $95,000 Please note that specific compensation decisions are based upon a variety of job-related factors as permitted by law, including geographic location, credentials, skills, education, training, and experience.

Base salary is just one component of Wilton Re's total compensation package for employees. Additional compensation includes annual performance-based bonus, 401K with employer contribution, and profit-sharing program. Employee may also be eligible for long-term incentives (equity). All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
