Job Duties:
- Responsible for driving initiatives and working as a liaison between business, vendor and other IT teams to assist in identifying, defining and documenting business processes and
- software requirements facilitating communication and determining software objectives that align with business needs.
- Manage projects and initiatives in the relevant business areas as directed.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of relevant business areas to support business requirements by making recommendations, suggesting alternatives to proposed solutions, and building
- high-quality requirements.
- Translate user requirements into clear, detailed functional requirements.
- Work with business and delivery teams to prioritize requirements.
- Manage requirements scoping throughout the delivery process.
- Create artifacts as appropriate, including business case documentation, scope documentation, and process flows.
- Support vendor and internal delivery teams as they develop, test, and deploy solutions.
- Document current processes and models to understand inefficiencies or gaps.
- Coordinate application support with the outside vendor and provide individual application support as needed.
- Create documentation across IT for application and support.
- Analyze the technical performance and reliability of products and systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics, Information Technology, or a closely related field, or equivalent.
- Equivalent is defined as any combination of education evaluated to be the equivalent of a US bachelor's degree.
- Must have four (4) years of experience involving business analysis of application systems in the life sciences or pharmaceutical domain including working with hospitals and/or laboratories from both functional and technical perspectives.
- The stated experience must include the following: translating application system business requirements into technical requirements; creating technical documentation; working in a large software development or configuration environment; working in a regulated business area such as laboratory systems or other GxP related work; and working using numerous CRM, ERP, data integration technologies, including: SQL, Integration Tools, Pentaho Kettle, ETL (Extract Transform and Load), Documentation platforms or other similar tools/systems.
- Reports to headquarters in Boston, MA. Eligible to telecommute up to 5 days from a home office within normal commuting distance of the Boston, MA office. Must be willing to work onsite at the Boston office as required for meetings, functions, and company events.
