IT BUSINESS SPECIALIST, ORACLE COE
PPG Industries, Inc., headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA, has a work-at-home IT Business Specialist, Oracle COE position (with the ability to telecommute with appropriate telecommuting systems; the remote worksite must be within commuting distance of Pittsburgh, PA for weekly trips to the corporate office) responsible for providing the functional direction of Oracle Cost Management, Oracle General Ledger, Oracle Accounts Payable, and Oracle Purchasing as well as preparing designs for business process and application changes. Specific duties include: (i) analyzing and gathering business requirements as well as reviewing functional and technical specifications; (ii) providing customer training and documentation updates; and (iii) participating with business stakeholders to verify system integration and conduct user acceptance testing.
Must have a bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field plus five (5) years of post-baccalaureate and progressively responsible experience in a related position.
Must have five (5) years of experience analyzing specifications and design of end-to-end technical solutions in R12 Oracle Financials & Manufacturing (General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Purchasing (PO) and Accounts Receivables (AR), Cost Management, OPM Costing and OPM Subledger Accounting).
Must have any experience with or knowledge of: (i) Oracle Sub-ledger Accounting (SLA); (ii) collecting business requirements and functional designs; (iii) evaluating existing business and operational flows to define As-Is and To-Be process models for business process re-engineering initiatives; and (iv) defining operational feasibility by evaluating problem definition, solution development, and proposed solutions.
