IT Developer - Dublin, CA
Job Summary:
The Developer role is a valuable team member helping to support and deliver the companies technology solutions. This role is first and foremost a developer but must be able to work with our business partners and vendors to understand new requirements and operational issues. They will design, implement and integrate new applications that align to the company strategies. Retail technology experience is a plus, but not required.
Key Accountabilities:
Hiring pay range: $115,764.00 - 119,017.00
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education: BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related experience. Certifications in AWS (Solutions Architect, Developer) or GCP (Cloud Engineer, Architect) preferred
Experience: Minimum 5 years experience as a developer
Other: Up to 5% travel
Work Environment: Office

IT Developer - Dublin, CA
Job Summary:
The Developer role is a valuable team member helping to support and deliver the companies technology solutions. Key Accountabilities:
- Design, develop and maintain cloud-native applications and microservices
- Ensure that applications meet business and end-user requirements
- Use best practices, building highly scalable and fault-tolerant applications
- Integrate applications with cloud-based databases
- Leverage cloud-based storage services
- Collaborate with analysts, designers, and system owners in the development and testing of new software programs and applications
- Document system design and application support documentation
- Identify and communicate system issues and presents potential resolutions to leadership
- Integrate the proper use of security, logging and monitoring into the software development
- Work with third party vendors to implement, integrate or troubleshoot issues
- Champion and ensure compliance with organizational standards, practices and methodologies
- Performs other duties as assigned
Hiring pay range: $115,764.00 - 119,017.00
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in Python programming with deep understanding of best practices and design patterns
- Extensive experience with AWS Cloud services, including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, IAM, CloudFormation
- Understanding and experience with databases (like Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL & NoSQL) and stored procedures
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform, including Composer and Cloud Functions
- Experience with monitoring solutions such as CloudWatch or Prometheus
- Strong understanding of System-as-a-Service (SaaS), Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Public Clouds, Node.js & Angular.JS
- Experience in developing and implementing systems interfaces, leveraging techniques such as SFTP, ESB, API integrations
- Ability to build applications using Web Service Solution Stacks like LAMP and equivalents.
- Experienced in Agile project methodology.
- Experience working with source control in a multi-contributor environment (Git, SVN, etc.), including understanding how to effectively utilize established workflows
- Excellent analytical, planning and organization/time management skills
- Experience providing technical leadership and mentorship
- Good communication skills - written, verbal, interpersonal, and collaborative
- Experience required in a multi-discipline project and troubleshooting environment
- PREFERRED:
- Java experience would be a plus.
- Experience in AWS serverless technologies including DynamoDB
- Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
- Experience in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, AWS CodePipeline
