Summary:
Writes reports for Hospital Billing (HB) and Physician Billing (PB) Revenue Cycle out of Epic Reporting Systems, to include, but not limited to Clarity, Cojito, Reporting Workbench, Slicer/Dicer, and for reporting applications outside of the Epic system. Reviews, analyzes and reports for various teams within Revenue Cycle. Gather, accurately analyze, and interpret data to guide an organization's decision-making and performance improvement. Must be able to present and communicate findings professionally to Management. Analysis consists of identifying and resolving issues, which prohibit reduction and /or maintenance of the health system's accounts receivable goals. Prepares accounts receivable reports for Revenue Cycle Leadership. Serves as departmental resource for all matters relating to accounts receivable data, and its output.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and delivering impactful reporting and analysis that pull data from a wide variety of sources - revenue cycle, electronic medical record (EPIC), accounting, HRIS & even payroll. You will be able to do Epic clarity reporting and will be able to translate data in a way that is digestible by operational leaders. This role is part financial analyst and part data analyst.
Our ideal candidate is experienced in financial analysis in a healthcare setting and maybe even has Critical Access Hospital (CAH) experience.
Duties:
- Writes reports for Hospital Billing (HB) and Physician Billing (PB) Revenue Cycle out of Epic Reporting Systems.
- Reviews, analyzes and reports for various teams within Revenue Cycle. Gather, accurately analyze, and interpret data to guide an organization's decision-making and performance improvement.
- Must be able to present and communicate findings professionally to Management. Analysis consists of identifying and resolving issues, which prohibit reduction and /or maintenance of the health system's accounts receivable goals.
Experience:
- Active Epic Report Certification for HB and PB - i.e. Clarity, Caboodle, Reporting Workbench, Cogito, and Slicer/Dicer
- BI/Revenue Cycle Reporting Tools knowledge
- Three (3+) years increasingly responsible work experience in healthcare patient accounting, revenue cycle, report writing, and data analytics.
- Experienced in Inpatient, Epic
