JOB SUMMARY

The IT Manager is responsible for managing information technology and computer systems, hardware, and networks, overseeing, recruiting, and training IT staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Adheres to all safety guidelines, and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) preventing incidents or injury to self or others.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area for safe operation as well as customer presentation.
  • Performs work according to the highest quality standards to produce a superior end product, meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
  • Participates in and supports the principles of Open Book Management.
  • Manage complex IT projects, including ERP upgrades, infrastructure refreshes, and new .
  • Provides effective direction and empowers team members to succeed.
  • Virtualization (VMware ESXi), Windows Server administration, storage administration (SANs, backups), Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange, Sharepoint, Intune, Entra), Active Directory and Group Policy.
  • LAN/WAN networking (CISCO, Meraki, Grandstream VOIP).
  • Syteline ERP and SQL Server management, including administration, upgrades, EDI, and BI reporting.
  • Designs and executes disaster recovery plans and redundant operations to minimize downtime.


OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Advocates for continuous security improvements and implements security best practices.
  • Diagnoses and recommends electronic solutions for floor equipment.
  • Responsible for researching and recommending purchasing decisions for hardware and software.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of computer hardware, software, and equipment, computer applications, and programming.
  • Basic understanding of programming concepts and logic.
  • Knowledge of Window's applications including but not limited to: Windows Operating Systems Software, Internet Explorer, Outlook/Outlook Express, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to think critically to comprehend system requirements and identify alternative solutions to problems.
  • Good interpersonal skills in order to maintain relationships with co-workers, supervisors and upper management.
  • Good oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.


EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • At least ten (10) years of experience with systems administration required. Management experience.


EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in CIS, CIM or related field required.
  • Professional Certification such as MSE, TIA, A+ preferred.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS ESSENTIAL TO PERFORM THE DUTIES OF THE JOB

  • Frequently communicates with shop floor personnel, internal and external customers, and troubleshoot and provide technical assistance.
  • Frequently remains in a sitting position to perform desk duties.
  • Frequently uses the computer with fingers and hands to create reports and ledgers.
  • Frequently views the computer to perform duties.
  • Frequently works in a well lit, tempered room experiencing temperature changes while communicating with production personnel.
  • Occasionally exposed to loud noises when walking floor during production to troubleshoot electronic issues.
  • Occasionally lifts objects such as office supplies with weight up to 25 pounds.
  • Seldom exposed to smoke and carbon monoxide for less than ten minutes when on shop floor.
