Position Summary:
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the IT Manager role is to ensure the stable administration, support, maintenance & operation of the organization's decentralized data centers and production infrastructure environment.
The major objective of this key IT position is to provide reliable and industry proven best practices for both the infrastructure support and the desktop support teams and aligning service delivery to the organization's business needs and goals.
The role will require day-to-day leadership and direction for the full-time IT analysts and help desk support team in the safe and reliable operations of the data centers, infrastructure systems and desk top environments. This managerial role will require hands-on and direct interaction with day-to-day operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for the operational excellence of the datacenters and desktop support environment including implementing ITIL and ITSM procedures as an initial focus.

Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for the operational excellence of the datacenters and desktop support environment including implementing ITIL and ITSM procedures as an initial focus.
- Assisting with further development of incident management, problem management, infrastructure change management, SLAs, production support, standards, tools, and best practices for the IT infrastructure organization.
- Develop the infrastructure production support process for the IT team to ensure both onsite and on-call support for both regular work day hours and off-hours from initial response to disruptions, outages, and incidents.
- Work with the current external Project Management Office (PMO) to collaborate in the design, implementation and management of the evolving information technology infrastructure systems & data centers required to meet the organization's growth needs.
- Work with Supply Chain to develop contracts with key IT suppliers to address the needs of the company's IT infrastructure environment.
- Maintain active IT infrastructure inventory; tracking warranty/service agreements, arrange for decommission and replacement as required.
- Lead IT infrastructure & desktop support teams by recruiting, developing, and coaching employees - communicating job expectations and setting & monitoring key performance targets.
- Design, develop, implement, and coordinate IT infrastructure & production policies and procedures in support of the company's end-user community.
- Work with diverse stakeholders in building strong collaborative relationships with the company's end-user community.
- Manage the help desktop support team and to assist with planning, organizing, and evaluating the end-user support process across the company's facilities.
- Ensure the security of production data, network access and backup systems without compromising the day-to-day activities of the end-user community.
- Work with both internal & external stakeholders to audit the integrity of the evolving IT infrastructure to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Manage the timely installation, upgrades, and configuration of the IT infrastructure environments across the company's data centers.
- Responsible for the management and control of the operating costs & budgets for the IT infrastructure, desktop environment and the current production application systems.
- Exemplify the company's work ethic and commitment to service excellence in all IT infrastructure activities and in interactions with other departments; and
- Other duties as required.
Educational Requirements:
- University degree/diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
Required Skills & Expertise:
- Ideal candidate will have worked in an IT management role in managed services or in decentralized infrastructure environments in industry sectors including auto-parts, industrial manufacturing, and/or food processing sectors.
- Experience in IT infrastructure management, data centers and the day-to-day operations of production systems are a prerequisite.
- Strong working experience & knowledge of production systems include:
- Network architecture and administration
- Cyber security protocols - developed plans for implementation and administration
- Configured and supported Microsoft technologies
- Integrating technology services at the local level, co-located and hosting with a cloud provider
- Virtualized environments
- Operations technology for multi-site facilities
- Implementing effective production support processes for the end-user community
- Proficiency with documentation; data center operations, desktop level procedures, technology diagrams & schematics
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and technical trouble-shooting skills
- Able to perform IT production work plans without direct supervision
- Effective under pressureto deliver per end-user customer needs
- Good problem resolution skills
- Excellent team member & player
- After-hours implementation work required
