This position is based in Northbrook, Illinois. Hybrid work from certain states may be permitted in accordance with Astellas' Responsible Flexibility Guidelines. Candidates interested in hybrid work are encouraged to apply.

Purpose:

The primary purpose of this position is to lead complex global and regional audits focused on IT-related risks and controls, ensuring the effectiveness of Astellas' internal control systems and risk management processes. This role serves as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and insights to enhance organizational value and support the achievement of Astellas' strategic objectives. Additionally, it fosters productive relationships with management and stakeholders to drive improvements and mitigate risks.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex global and regional projects as assigned, including:


-Managing the audit process in conducting interviews, reviewing documents, developing, and administering surveys, composing summary memos, and preparing working papers.

-Managing the audit process in the identification, development, and documentation of audit issues and recommendations.

-Communicating the results of audit and consulting projects via written reports and oral presentations to management.

  • Provide subject matter expertise on IT-related risks and controls to the internal audit team.
  • Develop and maintain productive client, staff, and management relationships through individual contacts and group meetings.
  • Provide advice and counsel about recommendations to improve results and/or mitigate risk with management, including senior management.
  • Responsible for providing day to day oversight of third-party co-source members supporting the projects.


Requirements

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • At least 6 years of experience in IT Audit, IT Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Experience leading and managing IT audit engagements.
  • Knowledge of IT frameworks such as COBIT, NIST, and ISO.
  • Understanding of data governance, data privacy, and information security principles.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Fluency in English. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.


Preferred:

  • Knowledge of the Life Sciences / Pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong data analysis, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to detect opportunities for change and facilitate change.
  • Professional certification such as CISA, CRISC, CIA, or CISSP.
  • Experience with cloud computing, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOX.
  • Project management skills and experience managing complex projects.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.


Salary Range:$114,800 -$153,000 (NOTE: Final salary could be more or less, based on experience)
