IT Project Manager III

Job Title: IT Project Manager III
Location: Portland, OR (remote OK)
Duration: 6 months

Team and Work Environment:

Team Size: 9 individuals Roles: Compliance analysts, business analyst, release manager, java developer

Projects:

• EnergyCAP solution (Facilities billing and management)
• Maintenance requests/Inventory management solutions in Compliance platform (DevonWay)
• Internal Audit/SOX solutions (DevonWay)

Daily Responsibilities:

• Stakeholder engagement
• Budget management
• Status reporting
• Progress elaboration of the project plan

Interaction Level:

• Heavy interaction with team members, primarily FTE BSA
• Collaboration with the hiring manager for building business cases, performing cost-benefit analysis, and seeking capital funds

Detailed Job Description:

• Responsible for coordinating and completing projects within the information technology department.
• Oversee all aspects of the project including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring/summarizing project progress.
• Build and maintain working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in the projects.
• Prepare reports for upper management regarding project status.
• Requires a bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of experience in the field or a related area.
• Familiarity with a variety of field concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Performs a variety of tasks and leads/directs the work of others.
• Expected to demonstrate a wide degree of creativity and latitude.
• Strong experience in securing funding, building business cases, defining planned value/benefit realization, and effectively driving projects is a must.
• Nice to have: Knowledge of Energy and utilities sector, and experience with Oracle Fusion for project management and budgeting.

Required Skills:

Utilities Experience: Not required, but compliance/regulatory background or experience on projects requiring regulatory compliance is beneficial

Top 3 Must-Haves:

• Strong facilitation skills, knowledge of project management tools, and understanding of all project phases
• Experience in business case and benefits development
• Budget management and reporting

Top 3 Nice-To-Haves:

• Knowledge of Energy and utilities sector
• Experience with Oracle Fusion for project management and budgeting

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required
• Certification Requirements: No certification required, but please provide samples of past work (data-masked as needed)

Experience Required:

• 7-8 years of experience in IT project management
