Job Summary
The Project Manager will be responsible for managing technology projects that add business value by creating new business products, improving existing business products, or improving underlying technologies. Primary Responsibilities
- Deliver technology projects on-time and in budget
- Follow a disciplined approach to software development that includes discovery, requirement capture, work effort estimation, analysis/design, coding, testing, and source code configuration management
- Collaborate with business sponsors to document business interests, desired outcomes, and acceptance criteria
- Facilitate discovery meetings with stakeholders to define project scope, user experiences, and technical approach
- Work with project teams to determine estimates for project effort, duration and cost; present estimates to business sponsors and technology leadership; coordinate with technology leadership to assign resources and update technology roadmaps
- Kick off projects with project teams and monitors project progress; present project status, risks, issues, and deviations to sponsors and stakeholders
- Notify project team members and stakeholders of upcoming milestones; hold members and stakeholders accountable for project deliverables
- Review deliverables and ensure they meet project guidelines and are within acceptance criteria
- Ensure solutions are fully tested, transitioned back to the business, and deployed to production without any surprises
Job Qualifications
- Management of at least three (3) $1M+ software projects from concept to deployment
- Knowledge and experience managing technology projects in healthcare industry preferred
- Knowledge and experience with disciplined and agile software development lifecycles; ability to effectively apply practices from both lifecycles preferred
- Knowledge and experience with PMI PMBOK; PMI certification preferred
- Undergraduate college degree required; a degree in management, computer science, or engineering preferred
- Experience using Microsoft Project, Excel, Confluence, and Jira to manage projects, tasks, and owners
