Relay Resources is seeking a dedicated Information Technology Project Manager to join our Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) team. Your primary responsibilities will include managing and overseeing all aspects of various technical and or non-technical projects. Experience managing projects including software and/or hardware systems implementations and integrations preferred. As an IT Project Manager, you will be required to coordinate with various teams, establish project timelines, and ensure that projects are completed on time, in scope and within budget. You should have a solid understanding of project management principles, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and a problem-solving attitude.

Project Management - 70%

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.


  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.


  • Manage project budget and resource allocation.


  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.


  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.


  • Track project milestones and deliverables.


  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.


  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.


  • Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.


  • Conduct project postmortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.


  • Communication and Stakeholder Engagement - 10 %


    • Act as a liaison between project teams, stakeholders, and EPMO ensuring clear and timely communication.


    • Support communication activities to the EPMO using platforms such as SharePoint and newsletters.


  • Training and development 10 %


    • Facilitate the use of project and portfolio management tools.


    • Facilitate training sessions and materials for project management and methodologies (Asana)


    • Support the development and dissemination of best practices and standards within the EPMO.


  • Documentation and Reporting 10%


    • Facilitate the use of project, program, and portfolio management tools.


    • Ensure all project documentation is complete, accurate, and up to date.


    • Generate and distribute regular project performance reports.


    Requirements

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology (IT) or a related field


    • Experience: 5+ years of proven work experience as an IT Project Manager or a similar role; self-motivated, with a high sense of accountability, urgency, and drive.


    • Skills:


    • Highly motivated and self-driven professional: skillful, productive, efficient, creative.


    • Team-builder with strong communications skills and problem-solving abilities.


    • Fluency in the software development lifecycle.


    • Experience driving results leveraging Agile and Waterfall methodologies.


    • Experience leading complex technical projects in a matrixed environment.


    • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and vice versa.


    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and accommodate a rapid rate of change. Highly organized and process oriented. Strong written, verbal and oral presentation skills required.


    • Solid technical background, with understanding or hand- on experience with Project Management Platforms. Experience with Asana preferred.


    • Expertise with Microsoft 365 of products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Loom, Forms and Outlook.


    • Ability to work effectively across diverse teams, including operations, program leaders, and administrative functions.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Preferred certifications: PMP, CSM, ITIL, or CompTIA Project+ and Prosci

    • Basic problem-solving skills.


    • Solid verbal and written communications, organization, training and presentation skills.


    • The capability to review project deliverables for completeness, quality, and compliance with established project standards.


    • Ownership to see tasks through to completion with minimal supervision.


    • Ability to drive the tasks needed to accomplish their work and to know when to seek out support and ask questions.

    SCOPE & ACCOUNTABILITY

    • Performs duties with moderate supervision and growing autonomy. Prepares work that is reviewed by senior staff for accuracy and clarity.


    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

    • None, but may mentor junior cross-functional staff members on projects as needed.
