  • POSITION SUMMARY
    • Position Summary:
      • The Security Administrator is responsible for desktop, mobile, and network security, troubleshooting network access and implementing network security policies and procedures within the health system. The Security Administrator is responsible for ensuring secure access and will protect against unauthorized access, modifications, or destruction of health system data. Duties include performing risk assessments, audits, staff training sessions, and monitoring network activity. This individual ensures that our network infrastructure remains reliable, and works within industry standards while adhering to security and data integrity standards. This role will build, manage, and monitor performance of network infrastructure, manage and maintain malware prevention software, as well as assist the network engineers with planning and researching improvement options. The Security Administrator possesses strong knowledge in network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, VPN, wireless hardware and software, physical and virtual servers, and other network/enterprise related hardware and services. This individual will assist all users with technical issues as third tier support. The Security Administrator has strong verbal and written communication skills, is well organized, has project management skills, and is willing and able to maintain multiple tasks simultaneously. The Security Administrator will collaborate with others in a team environment, and must be prepared to assist other team members as necessary. The Security Administrator will work with the security analyst to ensure risks are mitigated in the most effective manner.
  • POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
    • Minimum Education
      • Associate's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
    • Minimum Experience
      • 2 years of experience managing a network preferred
      • Experience in securing unified communication networks preferred
      • Relevant certifications preferred
    • Required Registration/License/Certification
      • None
