Senior Network Engineers must be detail-oriented and have in-depth knowledge of networking hardware and software. The candidate should be highly experienced in areas such as network design and implementation, LAN/WAN interfacing, security, Internet protocols and TCP/IP, and server and network infrastructure, which are typical job requirements. The IT Senior Network Engineer is critical in Enterprise Network's daily operations. Responsibilities:
- Design, Installation, configuration, monitoring, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of IT network infrastructure.
- Provide high-level of support and technical expertise in IT Networking Infrastructure for data, voice, and video networks
- Work with ticketing systems associated with tasks and project assignments daily.
- Interact and collaborate with team members, customers, clients, and other relevant teams.
- Participate in Projects
- Participate in on-call rotation
- Responsible for engineering enterprise data, voice, and video networks, administration, operations, maintenance, testing, and associated activities related to IT network infrastructure, including hospitality-oriented network infrastructure (hardware-software), Network Virtualization, and network security appliances (Firewalls) and software installed throughout the enterprise.
- Responsible for Installing, configuring, monitoring, maintaining, testing, and troubleshooting IT network infrastructure.
- Works with the IT Infrastructure Manager and IT Director of Infrastructure to prioritize workload and assist in identifying future technology needs throughout all lines of business.
- Assist the IT Infrastructure Manager with vendor quotes, proposal requests, procurement, and select vendors.
- Assist with the planning, design, and implementation of Network (hardware-software, and virtualization) Infrastructure solutions and Hospitality-oriented network infrastructure systems R
- Requires detail-oriented, in-depth knowledge of Cisco Network and Security Enterprise hardware and software (On-perm and Cloud) Solutions, Network Firewalls, and Internet Gateways.
- Providing high-level support and technical expertise in complex Enterprise Network technologies.
- Responsible for applying security principles, practices, and procedures under the Risk Management Framework (RMF) to comply with applicable security regulations associated with the IT Network Infrastructure and Network Security fields and ensure the secure transfer of enterprise data, voice, and video. This includes supporting compliance with PCI, HIPAA, and GDRP policies and regulations.
- Build, maintain, and audit all IT network infrastructure-related documentation, including configuration, SOPs, service records, asset inventories, topologies, etc.
- Analyzes, recommends, and evaluates new hardware, software, and communications products for network and systems compatibility and applicability.
- Works with cross-functional teams to design and integrate IT Network infrastructure technologies.
- Support, mentor, and provide cross-training to team members in the areas covered by the IT Infrastructure Department. Also, Assists in the training of other Information Systems personnel to improve their technical skills
- Maintaining and staying updated with knowledge and understanding of networking, security best practices, and technologies to support the organization's IT infrastructure with the best solutions and protection.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Education and Experience:
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in network engineering positions.
- Associate or bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field. (preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding diagnostic, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Must have a high level of expertise, Hands-on experience, and working knowledge with:
- Cisco Data and Voice Network equipment, Nexus and Catalyst switches, Routers, IOS-XE Wireless Controllers, Cisco UCS, Voice Gateways o Cisco Firewall Threat Detection (FTD), Meraki, and Palo Alto network firewalls.
- Cisco Identity Service Engine (ISE), Cisco Catalyst Center, Cisco Nexus Dashboard, and Cisco Prime Infrastructure.
- Network Monitoring System, SolarWinds Orion, NETBrain.
- IT Network Infrastructure Security principles, practices, procedures, PCI, HIPAA, and GDRP regulations.
- IT Network Software and Hardware, including packet capture analyzer software and handheld network testing tools. Also, Excellent troubleshooting skills for IT Network Infrastructure.
- IT Virtualization infrastructure environments. VMware vSphere, Virtual box, Hyper-V o Structured cable systems (Fiber and copper) and Network Infrastructure power standards and regulations.
- Ticketing System and Overseeing and managing IT Projects.
- Hands-on experience with Linux and Microsoft Windows Server operating systems.
- Experience with DHCP, DNS, Microsoft Network Policy (NPS) Services, and SSL Certificates in general. Additional experience in the hospitality and convention events industry is highly preferred.

- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Enterprise. - required
- Cisco Certified Specialist - Enterprise Core. - required
- Cisco Certified Specialist - Enterprise Wireless Design. - required
- Cisco Certified Specialist - Enterprise Design. - required
- Cisco Certified Specialist - Collaboration Core. - required
- An Active network certification is required and needs to be maintained.
