The Information Technology (IT) Department has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join the Project Management Office team. As a Senior Project Manager, you will work closely with stakeholders in the organization to plan and implement large, complex IT projects (e.g. SAP migrations, implementations or upgrades). The incumbent will manage the day-to-day progress of all projects, develop project plans, timelines, and any identified project constraints. You will also be accountable for the delivery of all in scope project activities, report on the execution of project plans with input from Project Team members and other stakeholders, facilitate project communication amongst stakeholder groups, identify and manage organizational change requirements for the project, manage the project scope change processes, and manage team performance of project tasks. Additionally, you will develop and document the Project Charter in collaboration with business owners, chair the Project Steering Committee (PSC), working group(s) subcommittees as required, and exercise considerable independent judgement in all aspects of the work. You will follow PMI best practices, standards, and processes, and oversee the project team to ensure delivery of stated project goals. This position performs related work as required.

Requirements include a Master's degree in information technology, computer science, business, computer engineering or a related discipline and 8 years of related experience in project management or supervision, and PMP Certification, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. The role requires thorough knowledge of project management techniques such as SAP project methodologies (e.g. Activate), including management of budgets (operating and capital) procurement processes and administrative functions. Working knowledge and experience with project management concepts, practices, and deliverables such as agile, waterfall and hybrid. The role requires sound technical knowledge of administrative principles and practices, and applicable divisional policies and procedures. The role also requires skill in the use of various software applications including MS Office, MS Project and Visio and other online project management tools. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain concepts and topics to non-subject matter experts and build consensus and credibility amongst diverse stakeholder groups is required.
