About the Role
The IT System Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable, secure, and compliant IT systems. The core focus of this role is SharePoint architecture and implementation, ensuring a seamless, user-friendly, and efficient document management and collaboration platform. The architect will also be responsible for managing Azure cloud services, Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), and Office 365, ensuring seamless integration and security. Key responsibilities include:

About the Role
The IT System Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable, secure, and compliant IT systems. The core focus of this role is SharePoint architecture and implementation, ensuring a seamless, user-friendly, and efficient document management and collaboration platform. The architect will also be responsible for managing Azure cloud services, Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), and Office 365, ensuring seamless integration and security. Key responsibilities include:
System Design & Architecture
- Develop scalable, modular system blueprints that integrate emerging technologies and best practices.
- Create system roadmaps that align with organizational goals and future technology needs.
SharePoint Architecture & Implementation
- Design and implement SharePoint environments that enhance collaboration, document management, and workflow automation.
- Develop site structures, permissions models, workflows, and governance policies for optimal usability and compliance.
- Integrate SharePoint with Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI).
Azure, Entra ID & Office 365 Administration
- Manage Azure cloud services, ensuring scalability, security, and performance optimization.
- Administer Entra ID (Azure AD) for identity and access management, enforcing Zero Trust security principles.
- Oversee Office 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Endpoint Manager to ensure seamless operations.
- Implement role-based access control (RBAC), multi-factor authentication (MFA), conditional access policies, Dynamic Groups, and other security best practices.
System Integration & Performance Optimization
- Ensure seamless integration of Azure, SharePoint, Office 365, and third-party applications into existing IT infrastructure.
- Optimize system performance through proactive monitoring, analytics, and automation.
System Security, Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure IT systems adhere to regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2) and security best practices.
- Conduct security audits, vulnerability assessments, and incident response planning to strengthen cyber resilience.
- Develop risk management plans to ensure system continuity and data integrity.
Testing, Validation & Documentation
- Verify that systems meet performance, usability, and security benchmarks before deployment.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system architectures, configurations, and processes for accessibility and future reference.
Metrics, Analysis & Strategic Planning
- Use key performance indicators (KPIs) to refine system designs and improve efficiency.
- Align IT strategies with long-term organizational objectives to ensure a future-proof infrastructure.
Research & Innovation
- Stay updated on Azure, Entra ID, SharePoint, and Office 365 advancements, industry trends, and best practices to propose innovative solutions.
Qualifications
Who We're Looking For
We seek passionate IT professionals looking to use their skills to make a meaningful impact. Required qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in IT system architecture, with a focus on SharePoint design and implementation.
- Expertise in Microsoft SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, Power Automate, and Teams integration.
- Strong knowledge of Azure services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Security Center, Azure Monitor, and Azure Backup.
- Proficiency in Entra ID (Azure AD), including identity & access management (IAM), group policies, and security configurations.
- Experience managing Office 365 environments, including Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Intune (Endpoint Manager).
- Experience with security frameworks, compliance regulations (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2), and risk management.
- Proficiency in system integration, workflow automation, and performance optimization.
- Strong understanding of cloud-based and hybrid IT infrastructures.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and system designs.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
Preferred:
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert).
- Experience with Power BI, SQL, and data analytics tools.
- Knowledge of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) best practices.
- Familiarity with DevOps methodologies, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, PowerShell, Azure CLI).
