Position Summary:
The IT Technical Project Manager will be primarily responsible for leading one or more, complex, enterprise-wide projects with expertise in analysis, scope finalization, estimation, technical design, implementation and manage & deliver all phases of the project.

Responsibilities:
  • Establishes and maintains a strong working relationship with IT senior leadership and Departmental managers throughout business areas.
  • Responsible for Project Planning, estimation, negotiation, change management and delivery of the project.
  • Responsible for clearly identifying the risks and issues and working with senior leaders in IT to mitigate them.
  • Work directly with various levels of business users (executive, managers, and users) to document requirements, create visual diagrams/Prototype, review specifications, obtain approval, support UAT and post-production roll-out.
  • Develop business and technical requirement documents as well as technical specifications.
  • Supporting system design, SQL reports, quality assurance and user acceptance testing.
  • Manages change control effectively, while considering business priorities, schedule & budget availability.
  • Compiling detailed Metrics and status reports for senior leadership for decision making.
  • Working with Offshore developers and external vendors to ensure specifications are understood, followed, and implemented properly.
  • Participate in establishing and improving best practices, templates, policies, tools to expand and mature the capabilities of the organization.
  • Tracking issues through JIRA and maintaining regular updates to sprint progress.
  • Other day to day activities required for the IT department.


Professional Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of IT Technical project management experience, planning, tracking and managing projects that successfully met timelines and budgets.
  • Working experience with Agile/Scrum SDLC methodology.
  • Experience in Vendor management roles with expert skills in requirements gathering with the ability to draw out requirements using a variety of methods to uncover needs.
  • Ability to communicate technically complex IT concepts to internal and external business clients.
  • Experience in P&C business implementing new applications and major enhancements. These include underwriting, claims systems is a plus.
  • Experience in data integration and data quality projects is a plus.
  • Ability to work with technical teams (developers, architects, QA, infrastructure), business partners and software vendors to document and implement system modifications on time and within budget.
  • Excellent understanding of how technology impacts the business and evaluate new packages and softwares for the business needs.
  • Hands on Development experience in the past is a plus.
  • Experience working in cloud environment AWS, GCP or Azure is a plus.


Preferred Technical Skills:
  • Understanding one or more technologies like React, Java, .net, Rest Api, XML and/or JSON languages.
  • Strong SQL skills to query SQL databases is a must have.
  • Managed Analytics and data related projects is a strong plus. P&C Insurance Policy Administration or claims System experience (Duck Creek, Guidewire, etc.) is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Experience in Release management and managed automated deployments using any one of the CI/CD tools like Teamcity, Jenkins etc. is a plus but not required.
  • Networking concepts as it relates to system design and implementation.


Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or equivalent college degree with relevant experience.
  • PMP certification is a plus.


This position will be based out of our office in Princeton, NJ and requires an onsite presence several times a week.
