Role: Java Backend Developer
Location: Fully Remote (Ashburn, VA)
Long Term Contract - W2 & C2C
Job Description;
Overall IT experience: 8+ Years.
AWS experience is required.
Back-end developer with at least 4-6+ years of experience in Java / J2ee including object oriented design and design patterns, software architecture, multi-threading and debugging skills
Java, J2ee, Oracle DB, Spring, Hibernate, REST API, NoSQL databases, Unix, GIT or SVN, Storm, Kafka
Oracle DB migration/upgrade support
3P integration new feature/maintenance
Analyze and reduce number of incidents logged (actionable vs just informational)
Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms
Good knowledge of popular Java frameworks (Spring, Hibernate) and REST API
Good knowledge of databases techniques (on relational and NoSQL databases)
Unix experience (command line mostly, scripting less)
Experience with code repository, (i.e. GIT or SVN)
Will be a plus: Storm, Kafka, CI/CD
