Java Developer

The Opportunity: We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Java Developers to join our dynamic team in Phoenix, Arizona. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in core Java fundamentals and have 3-5 years of experience building large-scale applications using Java and the Spring framework. This role requires the ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, with both remote and in-office work at our client's Phoenix location.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java applications using the Spring framework.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Conduct thorough analysis, build, and testing in all stages of the software development lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain high-quality code by writing robust unit tests and ensuring extensive code coverage.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in test and production environments, ensuring high availability and performance of applications.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong core Java fundamentals.
• 3-5 years of experience in building large-scale applications using Java and the Spring framework.
• Experience working on cloud platforms (public or private) is strongly preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices.
• Proven ability to write effective JUnit tests and ensure comprehensive code coverage.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues in test and production environments.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong team player attitude.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, CI/CD pipelines).
• Knowledge of front-end technologies (e.g., JavaScript, Angular, React) is a plus.
