Role Description: Jira Developer with Cloud Migration Expertise Rate USD 65/hrA Jira developer with cloud migration expertise would be responsible for planning, executing, and ensuring the successful migration of Jira Server or Data Center instances to Jira Cloud, including data, apps, and user management, while also providing ongoing support and optimization. Heres a more detailed breakdown of the responsibilities and skills:Responsibilities: Migration Planning and Execution: Develop and document migration plans, including timelines, dependencies, and potential risks. Utilize the Jira Cloud Migration Assistant (JCMA) or other appropriate tools for data migration. Prepare Jira Server/Data Center instances for migration, including data backups and system configurations. Execute migration processes, including user, project, and app data migration. Monitor migration progress and troubleshoot any issues that arise. Cloud Environment Setup and Configuration: Set up and configure Jira Cloud instances, including users, groups, and permissions. Configure cloud integrations and workflows. Optimize Jira Cloud for performance and scalability. App Migration and Management: Assess and migrate Atlassian Marketplace apps to Jira Cloud. Ensure compatibility and functionality of apps in the cloud environment. Manage app licenses and subscriptions. User and Data Management: Migrate Jira users, groups, and permissions to Jira Cloud. Ensure data integrity and consistency during and after migration. Provide support for user access and data recovery. Post-Migration Support and Optimization: Provide ongoing support to users and administrators after migration. Monitor Jira Cloud performance and identify areas for optimization. Collaborate with stakeholders to address any issues or challenges. Skills: Jira Expertise: Strong understanding of Jira Server/Data Center and Jira Cloud functionalities. Experience with Jira administration, configuration, and customization. Familiarity with Jira workflows, permissions, and security settings.
