JIRA Developer

We are looking for a JIRA Developer to join our growing team in Remote, US (Chicago, IL).

Key Responsibilities:

JIRA Administration:

• Manage user permissions, roles, and groups.
• Create and maintain JIRA projects, workflows, schemes, custom fields, and screens.
• Monitor JIRA system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Development & Customization:

• Design and implement custom JIRA workflows, post-functions, and validators using scripting tools like ScriptRunner or Automation for Jira.
• Develop plugins or integrations with other systems (e.g., Confluence, Bitbucket, Jenkins, ServiceNow).
• Automate routine processes using REST APIs, webhooks, and JIRA automation rules.

Support & Maintenance:

• Provide day-to-day support to end users for JIRA-related queries and issues.
• Maintain system documentation, configurations, and procedures.
• Perform regular system audits and implement best practices for JIRA management.

Reporting & Dashboards:

• Build advanced dashboards and reports using JQL and marketplace add-ons.
• Support project tracking and management with tailored visualizations for different teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience with JIRA administration and development.
• Hands-on experience with JIRA plugins/add-ons (e.g., ScriptRunner, JMWE, BigPicture).
• Proficiency with JQL, REST APIs, and automation tools.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum project methodologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Atlassian certifications (ACP-100, ACP-120) are a plus.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Confluence, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Git, or other DevOps tools.
• Experience supporting regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, finance) with compliance or audit requirements.
• Experience in migrating or upgrading Atlassian tools.
